Let’s go ahead and put it out there.
It has talking lions vs. talking reptiles, magic energy swords, mystical power sources…
… but it’s not ThunderCats.
So that’s the last comparison that will be made to it. If anyone cares about LoC, though, well… here’s a thread for you.
EDIT: … ah, who’m I kidding? We’re gonna make comparisons–we’re humans. As long as it’s not hair-trigger hating, like “It’s totally a ripoff!” or “It’s not similar enough!” discuss what you want.
It’s a total ripoff.
Why can’t the two shows coexist? Maybe one can exist for the adult audience and the other one for a younger audience. (I’m just repeating myself. :eek:)
Because no matter what, it’s still too similar to just be brushed of like it doesn’t exist. If they wanted to make a Lego ThunderCats, they should have made a Lego ThunderCats. Imagine if instead of the Lego Star Wars games, they made one called “Space Battle Legends” and had a main character named something just barely sounding different from Anakin or Luke. On top of that, they would be using laser swords and whatever the Anakin ripoff would be would become evil later on. Would you really just brush this off and say “why can’t the two things just coexist?” I understand that given the circumstances that would never happen, but why should it be okay to do that to ThunderCats? I don’t care how much people try to say it is different. It’s a sad attempt to make money off of a great show’s main premise.
If it’s a ripoff, it’s not just a ThunderCats ripoff. They also uses elements previously seen in both Avatars, and maybe Glow-Friends. Also something I saw as a minor element in Exalted.
From what I have read, the pacing was awful, the dialogue sounded like a low-quality dub, and it overall did not have very many redeeming values. I honestly hope it gets cancelled before it gets another episode.
