Legend of Chima

Apparently, CN has a new, Ninjago-esque show coming out called Legend of Chima. The show features humanoid animals fighting over a kingdom (or something). The main character is a sword weilding, red maned Lion who’s father is the king.

That sounds familiar…

Exactly. Haha.

I saw the promo. I wonder if “ThunderCats” is being referenced through that lion character?

So…instead of renewing ThunderCats, CN is going to feature a Lego-style ThunderCats ripoff.

LOLZ! That sounds funny. X-D

Sounds and looks too familiar!! What is the matter with CN!! One of the greatest franchises ever and the f it up and make a lego rip off!!??

I hate you cartoon network.

I say we start attacking it now. Maybe they’ll get the message and understand we don’t want crap like this.

I dont really know much about this show, but if it is a blatant ripoff of Thundercats than why would WB not take action against it? Also, I thought I had read that CN was a subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting which is an arm of Time Warner. So if the companies are all related maybe WB is ok with this? I wonder if it was every considered doing a Lego style Thundercats series as opposed to this new show?

I’ve seen screen shots of the show. Just…ew. I never was attracted to the blocky 3D animation. Yeah, it’s still aimed at kids like it’s suppose to, but whatever. It’s not gonna be a MLP:FiM hit or whatever. It looks cheap and it’s gonna stink. #stillnowatchfartoonnetwork.

Yeah, never going to top MLP. Shows like that are so rare. I hate the Lego animation style and always will, and I’m also still not watching CN besides Toonami and DC Nation (when it comes back).

Well the show was never 4 u to begin with it’s meant for the kids and same goes for the channel. = They wont give a crap, the children will still watch this.

I’m just saying I would never watch this as a kid.

Oh you bleepity bleep bleep bleep bleepin’ bleeps!

Hopefully this show will flop quickly or at least generate enough hatred to make CN know it’s not what we want.

I saw the preview for this couple of days back on facebook, and seriously?! Why not just continue with the Thundercats instead of this? I won’t say this show is rubbish since I haven’t seen it yet, but obviously it borrows from the Cats. Makes no sense to produce it. Won’t it be at a loss merchandising wise? Since it’d be made in Lego no? And they are pretty expensive toys as opposed to your usual figures.

Ninjago has (apparently) been pretty successful, so I guess CN is hoping this will be too, since it’s also Lego. Heck, that could be part of their strategy. If ThunderCats didn’t do s well as CN wanted, they can try the concept again, but with the added popularity of it being Lego.

Not that I’m okay with this. I’m as irritated by it as everyone else.

Maybe it will be more kid-friendly than ThunderCats.
