I’ve just watched Thundercats Ho!: Creating a Pop-Culture Phenomenon. Larry Kinney does an imitation of Mumm-Ra’s voice.
If a new Thundercats series does emerge, how would feel about him as Mumm-Ra?
I think he’d make a good Mumm-Ra.

Larry Kenney has a very wode range of voice impressions, and would do very well in my opinion.
I think I may be one of the only people who’d say that I would rather not see Larry Kenney supplying the voice for Mumm-Ra should a new cartoon series be made.
The way I see it - he’s a classic voice actor from the classic cartoon, and should remain that way. Not to say that he isn’t talented or anything when it comes to voice overs - I just feel that with a potential new series apparently in the works, bringing in a new cast of talent to supply the voices for the beloved characters would be a better option.

I have a huge amount of respect for Larry Kenney as a voice actor, for my money one of the best in the business - my ex-gf didn’t like Larry’s work at all and it was a major point of disagreement between the two of us! 
I’d love to see Larry work on a new ThunderCats show in any capacity possible, and, although I’d like to go back and watch the featurette again, my knee-jerk reaction is that he’d make a great Mumm-Ra! 
On a total side note, my favourite part of that documentary was seeing Larry do Jackalman’s voice - I loved how physically “into” the role he got! :lol:

I ALWAYS loved Larry’s work, as Jackalman.
It was one of my favorite things as a kid, to just hear
that voice. It’s right up there with hearing Peter Cullen
doing Optimus Prime, in my opinion.
People can say what they what ever they want to about the
voice cast, but I think they all did very well.

I would have to agree I think Larry Kenney would do a good job as Mumm-Ra (even though Earl Hammond will forever be Mumm-Ra in my mind)he always had a wonderful range as far as his voice is concerned and he was always the one voice actor when doing other character voices I didn’t know if it was him or not. Where with the other voice actors it was obvious "Oh this is definitley Earl Hyman or Bob Mcfadden, or Peter Newman.
BTW OT but can anyone confirm something awhile back I read somewhere that Earl Hyman was slated as the voice of Grune but when watching “Return to Thundera Part 2” and listening to “Grune’s” voice to me it sounded a hell of a lot more like who voiced “Slythe” now was that Bob McFadden or Earl Hammond? Anyway anyone have any thoughts on that?
