Larry Kenney movie petition? :)

I’m not sure that there is any plan to actually send a physical copy or e-mail Warner Brothers directly. Manny said that the creative team is aware of the petition and we know that Larry Kenney’s agent has contacted WB also.

Hey Mark, thanks for the response!

Yep, I realise all of that, I just wondered what it was (or wasn’t) cool for me to say if any members of the public ask me. I know MannyF has contacts on the inside of the movie, and I don’t want to get him in any sort of trouble by repeating something that he’s told the team in confidence - hence why I was wondering if we had an “official line” on this…?

Take care…

I guess it would be enough to say that the folks who matter at WB know about the petition and that Larry was very pleased about the effort from the site and fans.

Pretty much what Mark said. There really is no plan to send in a physical copy to WB. Key people working on the movie know and have acknowledged the petition. That being said, the last response I was given regarding the petition is that it would have very little impact on who gets the role of Lion-O as there is speculation that the role would not only be voicing the character, but also portray the character’s movements which would lessen Larry’s chances of getting the part.

600+ signatures is great; but I haven’t gone through each signature and verify if they are authentic, so if you estimate the fake signatures, we realistically have a little over 500 which in the bigger picture doesn’t really provide much compared to petitions for the Transformers movie.

It was a great effort on our part and on the fans.

Chris here…

Hey Manny, first of all, many thanks for the responses. In terms of the likely impact of the petition, I have to agree with what you say about 600 or so signatures in relationship to the types of response the Transformers petitions would have picked up - the only comment I’d make is that Transformers is a MUCH bigger franchise than TCats, and so given how small TCats is compared to that (and even compared to, say, He-Man), I think 600 signatures is a good effort. But, you are correct in that, to a company like WB, it’s a positively tiny number… :frowning:

So, just to recap, if anyone asks me, it’s fine for me to say the following - that we aren’t planning to submit a physical, printed copy to WB, but that WB are already aware of the petition - is that right? I’m sorry to keep being anal about this, I’m just eager not to get you into trouble, Manny my friend!

Take care…

Yeah that sounds fine.

Total Signatures to Date = 941

Can we get ready to update the front page once the count hits 1000?
