I don’t know if this is the right section to address this in, but the last few months there has been a real lack of activity on the forum.
It really seem as though interest in the Thundercats brand is getting worse all the time. The chances of a Classics line is seeming more unlikely and with no new media to generate interest in the brand I can’t imagine things picking up anytime soon.
It certainly has been slow. I guess there are those of us who are die hard fans that have an unwaivering interest, but for the casual fan there isn’t much new to discuss. It would be great if WB would give Thundercats the star treatment for its anniversary!
Agreed. Things have been getting a bit slow.
Of course there’s the continuity project, but that is something that we need to make time for, I have to set aside time to watch the DVDs, and I for one have other things that need watching/listening to at the moment.
The team behind this site will always consider the forums to be a vital part of what we do. In general the concept of a standalone bulletin board style forum is losing ground to the growth of social media and phone / tablet friendly posting.
We’ve been working hard to make our facebook page and twitter feed a more engaging place for fans so that we keep up with the trends. We’ve also been testing a google+ page, pinterest account, tumblr account and both adssse and I are mods on the ThunderCats subreddit at reddit.com
While we may see some organic growth and periods of higher activity in the forums when certain news stories break, it really comes down to the individual fans and posters to generate discussion during the intervening periods. We do update the front page a few times a week with new content so if anything there kicks off your interest feel free to start a new thread or comment in one if there is already a thread.
We also have a plan to make it easier to sign up for the forums eventually by allowing logins via facebook and/or twitter accounts. This may depend on raising funds to purchase updated forums software. It’s on a list of site improvements we plan to get to, likely a 2015 project.
In the meantime I’d suggest participating in our facebook page, on a day to day basis there are more posts over there than in the forums.
