Just wondering where things are headed?

Hey guys the site looks great. I’m just curious what everyones thoughts are on foreign toys section, minis, and the merch sections, and bootlegs.
I’m just curious how far we are going to get into each of these sections. Is the Merch section just going to be limited to stuff that was officially licensed by Rankin Bass, or is it going to include things not licensed but that have anything remotely to do with thundercats (by this I mean a logo slapped on it).
Are we going to incoorporate a bootleg section into the toys section I know this might be extensive but I have just started to pick up some of these toys and I think I might be a good idea to let people know what some of the knockoffs look like (for informative purposes) as I almost bought a bootleg mummra I thought was a prototype and I dont want others to make that mistake, plus some of them are just hillarious looking.
What does the foreign section actually entail, the versions by Playful, Glasslite, only or all of them with the slight variations or will these be covered in the variations page (by the way Neil that page looked really good) examples I bring up are the red thundertank by glasslite

How indepth are we going to get with the mini’s as there are about 3 different versions of the figures depending on the country that they were released in.

Are we going to cover the big stickers that are plastered all over the backs and front of the cards on the moc figs. I say front cause of some of the rampagers and there are some big yellow corner stickers on a couple of figs I’ve been looking at getting

Take care I hope this isnt a little over the top/overwhelming for my first post

The short answer, as far as possible.

Personally I’d like the Merchandise section to be as thorough and complete as possible. So if something is worth mentioning there, then yes, definately include it.

Yep, there was a plan for that. If you go right down to the bottom of the Toys index page and look under the heading Odd Stuff, you will find a link all ready there for the Bootlegs section. I actually don’t know much about the bootlegs, so if you want to tackle that Matt, your very welcome. If your not good with html, you can always write up the information in something like Notepad and gather the pics you want to use and then someone can transfer all that into a webpage for you. There are actually some bootleg figures pics in Andrew’s folder we can use.

Well my idea was to cover all the differences between LJN, Playful etc.. in the Toy Variations sub-section.

Then I wanted Foreign Figures to be a sort of gallery style section, showing MOC pics and release year info, any special notes etc.. covering every figure released by every company outside of LJN. So Rainbow Toys, Playful, Otto Simon/Childbro, Grand Jouets etc… We could also display a loose complete pic on each figures page as well along with the MOC image. Hopefully in time, this section can then detail which characters got a release in each country.

Again, I have zero knowledge on the minis. Your welcome to take that sub-section as well if you want it  We have some pics in Andrews folder and I believe we have some pics a forum member donated.

We can do, that could go in the Packaging Variations sub-section.

Not at all Matt, you’ve made some excellent points here. So if you want to handle the Mini figures and the Bootlegs that would be brilliant.

Neil I thing you summed it up very well. Now that you’re part of the team Matt, if there is a section you feel you can take on like the minis, by all means do so…that goes for merchandise as well. Neil and I have not gone too much in depth with the minis so you are the perfect candidate for it.
