  Congrats man! I’m hoping to win Manny auction so I can open Lion O up and gladly put him in my display case with the rest of my Transformers, Voltron, Macross, and Gobots.

You’re going to open him :frowning: Lion O doesnt want to be opened. Good luck on the auction though

  eheee, what can I say, I’m anti MISB

its one thing to be anti-opening… but to open a carded figure for the mere fact of displaying it? yee gads, man!

I find that funny.

I cant get myself to open anything carded or boxed for that matter, I like the look of figures in their original packaging and if their boxed Im just as happy looking at the box art.

I can’t get past the fact of paying MOC dollars only to open something… no sir, I don’t like it.

Every collector likes to do different things some people may get a joy out of opening a package, me personally I wouldnt do it because I dont get any satisfaction from opening carded toys but other people may. Collecting is all about having fun and enjoying your toys or whatevcer else you collect and if opening a boxed item brings that fun…by all means do it

The majority of my loose figures in my collection were recently opened in the last year or so. I try to find heavily damaged packages. I am very picky on the conditions of my MOC collection and try to find only high grade for it. I would never open a MOC that was really nice but a c-6 or 7 is a different story. It is really hard to find some of these loose, complete, and mint. I have had good luck finding cheap damaged MOC figures for just a little more then the price of non-mint complete figures.

  You sir are correct on that one!
I started as a loose figure buyer, but one bad experience made me vow never to buy loose figure again. Seller said one thing, I got another thing.

My most exciting obtaining any MOC/ MISB is that:
1 - I get to see ALL the contents that were included with the package.
2 - I get to be the first to open.
3 - It almost gurantee that the figures I have are in their excellent shape/condition in contrast to loose/MIB.
4 - I have no interested in selling or making any future investment from the figures I purchased. As a result, I have no reason to keep them in their MOC/MISB.
5 - I enjoyed the pleasure in seeing my collection out in their full display and in top notch condition from my display case.

Every collector is different in his/her way of collecting. I’m one of those collectors who love to purchase and get everything that were put from factory. And most importantly, in their top condition. And the best to get that is by purchasing a MOC/MISB.

you cant open up lion-o man thats a 8 back with battery even though it is resealled these just dont come up that often he must stay in the packet i command you.

but I supose each to their own im sure you will enjoy him either way

The problem is that the orange haired Lion-o with orange claw/handled sword is very hard to find.

If someone is selling the orange haired Lion-o, the accessories are usually either not included or are replaced with the red claw/handled sword.

Though for me personally, I guess it depends on how much I’m paying. I paid around ?15 for a re-sealed Captain Cracker to get him mint complete as back then I couldn’t for the life of me find someone selling him complete with his cutlass.

But then that’s not as rare as an 8-back Lion-o.

That’s funny…to me it would be torture if I saw anyone open my 8 back Lion O with battery or seen anyone else do it to theirs for that matter.Picture the movie Hostel but someone doing the torturing on MOC figures by opening them…now that’s torture LOL

  eheeehee, guys I may not even win Manny auction
So hold your worry 8)

*I want that Lion 0!!! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: *
