"Journey To The Tower Of Omens" - Official Talkback Thread! (CONTAINS SPOILERS!)

Thanks. It would have been nice if they confrimed or denied any relation at all (ancestors, like grand-grand-grand parents lol)

This is the first cartoon I can ever think of that we have been so close to the development staff. I love it personally, even if they are vague and cryptic.

I’m ok not knowing. I enjoy finding things out as the show goes as well.

Yeah, me too. But I get impatient once they start spilling the beans

According to Dan Norton’s facebook he did an Interview with MTVGeek today that will have a “big reveal”. Not sure when it’ll be posted, but probably sometime this week seeing how MTVGeek has pegged this week as “Thundercats Week.”

And yeah I love being able to actually talk to the guys making the show. Even when they tell you that they can’t answer it’s great that they’re answering what they can. Don’t forget not only are they trying not to spoil the story, there are probably legal reasons why they can’t disclose certain things.

Man this ep is decent, almost as good as ep 1. Really liking the flashback they’re showing between Mumm-Ra and the Cats, seems like the cats were once vassals to Mumm-Ra and probably betrayed them at some point. I hope they give us on this information later on.

That’s something i like really much aswell. That, instead of just sitting in the dark the whole show and can’t get any hints of anything. Some shows has given hints so we can speculate even though it turned out to be wrong it is fun when we actually see the result.

Even more I like confirming or debunking our theories by talking to the crew. As has been seen we can nit pick and discover all sorts of complicated reasons for a characters action only to hear the crew say oh we did that just cause we thought it looked cool. I am sure half if not more of the time they are probably learning more from us than we are from them. I even like to think with our discussions that they might even take cues from us that will translate directly into future episodes that have not been written or produced. Therefore making us is some spiritual/practical way part of the crew and show it’s self. Which is to me Very Exciting!

Only way what we say would have any affect on the story is if it’s in season 2. They’ve already written and recorded all of season 1.

i REALLY hope it will get a second season -.-

Yeah, and beyond. I hope Thundercats becomes the new evergreen property where something is always out there and available like Star Wars or the various Marvel stuff.

I agree. I detest that sort of thing. It’s just so lazy and cliched and it reduces a strong female character like Cheetara into nothing more than a plot point and a object to be fought over.

I hope they do not go there. I’d also really hate to see Tygra become nothing more than a petty jealous jerk. The chip on his shoulder is already become tiresome to me as it is.

LOL I would love to to see that in a future episode and I have an idea for a name for this character. What do you think of Azlar?

I think I wish I had the artistic talent to start working on a visual concept to go with these thoughts.

I have no name perference.

If you want to run with the idea it’s all your’s.

To be honest…regardless of the impracticality of the whip (tho I think some are over looking its ability to create fire and turn people invisible) I would have simply been happy if they stayed more true to the original design and had the 3 weights at the end instead of the mesely 2 he now has… :frowning: …however I do prefer the crystal looking weights rather than just red spheres…

Nice to see you again Bolo!

I liked the 3-pointed whip more too.

Thanks Tygra Rules, been offline for quite some time. See u over in the Tygra fan thread

Finally got around to watching. Like most people here, I very much enjoyed it. Nice little teamwork going in the fight scene and the progress to the Tower.

Still not a big fan of Mumm-Ra with the high-tech stuff, but I’m getting used to it. Now that we know there was some kind of alliance between him and the Thunderians, it ups the interest. I will add that I thought, at first, that the Thunderian ship looked a little like the Lunattacker.

Finally was able to watch this episode myself yesterday. It was great to see Cheetarah’s speed capabilities emphasized in this episode, as well as getting to see Tygra use his bolo whip.

I was expecting a much more “grandesque” scene when we finally saw Mummra change. A little disappointed by that, but not a big deal.

Only thing: How I wish they would have used the design of the Lion-o like thundercat that was helping Mummra, FOR LION-O. THAT would have made a cool Lion-o. Maybe we can see Lion-o “evolve” through out the show to look similar.

I think the longer hair just makes him look “bolder”.
