Does anyone by chance have the JEM dvds?

Rhino lost the rights to release the Jem series so seasons 1 and 2 are discontinued and probably very hard to come by.

That’s why I asked.. I almost bought them when they first came out but I wanted to wait till prices came down.. Boy that was a mistake. I e-mailed Rhino 7 months ago about re-releasing not realizing they had lost the rights and they just e-mailed me back the other day (what a quick reply):

expired. Sony Entertainment has acquired them and will reissue these titles
at some point.

[size=7]Ouch[/size], that hurts. Seriously, give up your hopes. You’ll never see any more Jem DvDs anytime soon, if you do the quality will stink compared to Rhino, and the price they over charge won’t be worth it.

Don’t believe me? Just ask anyone about the progress of the The Real Ghoastbusters dvds, or the lack there of.

I don’t mind the quality. I’m pretty desperate at this point.. It’s that version or a bootleg for me. I am not spending $200 for all the seasons by rhino which they are going for today - Sony or bootlegs will be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Well in Europe the entire Sunbow back catalog has been bought by a German company called TV Loonland AG.

Don’t worry the site is in English, despite being a German site.

They did release a Jem episode as part of a girls compliation DVD here in the UK, but nothing more then that.

Australia did release the first 8 episodes on two DVD’s, but nothing more.

Ebay might have some sets you can buy now, but don’t expect them to be cheap, in fact waiting for box sets to go down in price is next to impossible in some cases.

I may just wait for Sony. I’m not about to dish out more than 100 on a DVD.

Until then - I’m renting the third season from Blockbuster online :smiley:
