So, who here is a fan of James Bond? Which movies in the franchise are your favorites, have you read the books and are you looking forward to Skyfall coming this year?
I’ve always liked James Bond, whether it was Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton or Pierce Brosnan. And of course, I have my favorites. I can’t say that I have a favorite Bond…although Moore was playing Bond around the time I became aware of the movies, so I tend to like him more in much the same way I identify the most with Tom Baker as Doctor Who, seeing as how he was playing the character when I started watching the show.
I do however, have favorite movies which I think best represent their eras-

I have to admit, though, that I haven’t been very taken with Daniel Craig’s Bond films, although he is a good actor (he was great in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, BTW). But I just miss the larger-than-life aspects of the Bond films that are missing in this new series, which has a decidedly more realistic take. I miss the gadgets and the trick cars. I miss the villains with the doomsday weapons and huge hideouts. I miss S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and Ernst Blofeld. And I just miss the breezy, fun atmosphere in general. These new Bond films by comparison are more somber and downbeat. So while I think it’s good that there’s a new Bond movie in production, I just can’t really get excited by Skyfall at all. But that’s just me.
I know Q is going to be in Skyfall.

My favorite Bond movie is “The World is Not Enough”. Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond because he was the first one I saw growing up. I also like the books even though I’ve only read “Casino Royale” and “Thunderball”. I am curious to see “Skyfall” though. I like how Daniel Craig is a more agressive Bond and I have been impressed by his lat two Bond movies.
I’ve always been a huge Bond fan and have watched all of the movies in the franchise numerous times. My favorite Bond has always been Roger Moore. I know a lot of people have criticized his performance as not being serious like Connery and taking the role too lightly but that is exactly the reason why I love him! Especially when the henchman “Jaws” smiled at Bond with his gleaming metallic teeth, Moore would just smile back. Hillarious! 
You can’t blame Moore for his a tongue-in-cheek approach because the whole character of Bond was completely impractical. I mean the guy is supposed to be a super secret spy and yet EVERYBODY (including the villain) knows that he is a spy, his name is James Bond, he carries a Walther PPK and his favorite drink is Vodka Martini shaken not stirred! A spy like him would not last a minute in the real world.
Can’t say that I’m really looking forward to “Skyfall” as I’m not a fan of Craig as Bond. Not that he is bad or anything. I think he is a very good actor and Casino Royale was a very good movie but at no moment did I ever feel like I was watching a Bond movie. The creators had stripped away all the elements that make a Bond movie what it is and what we have come to love over all these years. Hopefully they’ll re-introduce some of those elements back in Skyfall.
yes my fave bond is moore as well, but i do like connery brosnan as well and i have top 10 fave bond movies as well. i really dislike the way bond is now with craig as bond hes got the look of a villain to me not the main charachter.
Yup, after Moore, I also like Connery and Brosnan. I always felt that Brosnan was like a mix between Connery and Moore. He had COnnery’s seriousness as well as Moore’s humor.
So what are your top 10 Bond movies? My all-time fav Bond movie has to be “The Spy Who Loved Me”.
I have six more Bond DVDs to watch really.

Just so you guys know, Q returns in Skyfall.
I dont get the trailer of Skyfall so is Bond brainwashed and doing the killing or going after the agent thats doing the killing? And my favorite bond is Daniel craig actually, I loved his last 2 films.
The official sypnosis so far is that James Bond’s loyalty to M is challenged over secrets from her past. When MI6 is attacked, it falls to Bond to seek out and eliminate the threat regardless of the cost to himself.
