Would you accept a new Thundercats series WITHOUT a toyline?
I would. I figure if the stories are good enough and people saw that the TCs concept still worked, a toyline wouldn’t be necessary.

I think this board is an example of how much the original ThunderCats toys are adored. I always hear people talking about the cartoon, but never about the toys.
Can you imagine (if done correctly) how amazing a Thundertank would look like? Or how great the sculpts would look with the technology we have today?
IF the designs are spot-on and the cartoon is a hit, a toyline SHOULD be made. As long as Mattel doesn’t hold the license, we should be okay. 
I definitely would be a collector of a new toyline.
I’m not that into the toys, so I don’t see them as necessary for me to be interested in the series. However, if care is taken on detail I shall buy my favorite characters/mecha but more than likely not the whole line.

I would LOVE to see a new series but i would rather not see any new toys. I am very happy with the 80’s line and i think that any new incarnation of these toys would just ruin the vintage line for me.
To me it all depends on how the new toy line would look like if it has that anime look to it …there’s one word for it NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. IMO the new He-Man toy line was a flop…again this is my opinion.I hold that 80’s look too close to me. If there is anyone that should take the toy licence is Jakks Pacific, I really think they could pull it off. Anything but Mattel…
Im also a little afraid of what a new toy line (or even a cartoon series) would turn out like. The original stuff was so good that it would be hard for any new work to live up to it, no matter how good the sculpts were. Thats not to say I wouldnt collect the toys if they did come out, as I do love the Thundercats and even if I wasnt crazy about the new figures I would still want them.
if someone had to get the rights to produce them I would also want it to be Jakks Pacific! They are doing a pretty good job with their current lines, and they have a distributor over here, so there is a good chance they would be released over here too
I have spent so much money mail ordering my current collection, so it would be nice to be able to collect then new line from local stores.
I don’t know if I would purchase anything, but I think a new toyline is a must if the show comes back. 8)
I think a new toyline is always a good idea for any series, especially if they introduce new characters or vehicles/playsets in a new series, then kids, and us bigger kids, will obviously want toys of them.

If the new series were to be a hit? Sure, I agree with a toyline being made if it were to reach a second season. But if a toyline were to be made during the first season and the cartoon was a bust - it would be a waste in the end.
If I could get something with the scale, sculpt, and poseability of the new Masters of the Universe without "the horde of evil repaints and variants, i’d be a happy, happy man. Plus we could finally get figures of the Lunatacs.
I think figures of the Lunatacs would be worth it alone. If there is a new action figure line there is only one very important thing for the manufacture to keep in mind. NO VARIANTS!! We don?t need a 1000 ?Smash claw Lion-os? warming the pegs. Oh yeah and no Mattel.
