hi thundercats fans, watched this episode, it was exciting to see backstory of tygra and cheetara, and got even better at the end because mos def mumm ra will appear in the next one, but I´m concerned about the characters drawings, I know it´s normal to switch between artists because the amount of work, but all the episodes before had top notch art, “into the astral plane”'s drawings were not that good, they even re-used the escene when Lion-O shouts “thunder thunder thundercats”, even worse he had the sword of omens in his hand, then it appears inside the claw :lionomad:!! I repeat that I know that recycling scenes is normal but I hadn´t catch that on this fantastic new series. sorry I just need to let tis out, what do you think?
There can be no light without darkness. To rise, you must first fall. Not too worried about Tygra. He is a leader, but will not become the King. He is more important than a King. He will discover this fact and embrace it.
Best scene was him with the flower. We need more of this type of quiet time in the episodes, the conveying of so many things without a word.
I have yet to see a single episode that did not contain a battle of some kind. I’d like one battle free episode, one totally devoted to character development alone. Actually, I’d like more than one, but I am desparing of that ever happening.
As for Cheetara’s story, I think the writer was an original Kung Fu fan. Being an orphan, sitting out in the rain, Caine did the same. Does that make Jaga Master Po?
It is easy to see how abandonment/unwanted issues would bring Cheetara and Tygra together. In the end, however, I think the love triangle is all an illusion. We know how Lion-o and Tygra feel about Cheetara, but have not had any confirmation of any true lovey dovey thing from Cheetara in return. The kiss? Re Luke and Leia in Star Wars 4.
Yes, but I wish Anet hasn’t warned Lion-o about Tygra’s “betrayal” in front of the others, that can predispose Cheetara against him. In fact, eh could have very well said it being Tygra presnet… if it was a vision, ot was going to happen anyway.
Honestly if It wasnt for Legacy I would have very little concern over that kiss. That and Kataang from avatar.
We’ll probably get a few more kisses spread out over the period of the show and then it will end like Legacy/Avatar . Corny as hell.
Legacy was obvious forshadowing for the rest of the series. Even though they chose to make Panthara a panther and not a Cheetah, ( What you thought it would be too obvious? :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:) Their overal premises weren’t all that different. Beautiful kick butt chicks Shrugs.
I still have faith in CheeTygra. I know his feelings run deeper than Lion-O’s and Lion-O’s constant goading about the triangle makes him look like the worse choice. Now that HAS to be handled before Kataang is to get a second finale.
OT. Do you guys think Cheetara remembers Tygra? He never introduced himself and he was under all that armor.
in the two opening two parter when cheetarah revealed herself didnt trygra say, " cheetarah, youre a cleric"?? did not remember seeing her go into the clerics building with jaga when they were children???
Is next week’s episode the Season finale? I thought we were going to get the standard 13 episode season?
I have to watch this episode again, but didn’t Tygra miss Cheetara being taken into the temple by Jaga and then return to find her gone? You could say that he assumed she finally gave up & left.
His shock in the premiere could be like “Wow! She made it after all!”
so, by season finale that means that is it until next summer? I’m not sure how cartoons work as opposed to regular shows I guess. 13 episodes is not enough to count as a whole season in my opinion but I guess I just love this new show a lot.
p.s. and no monkian or jacklman in the first season at all?
Ah. I think the gesture of giving her a flower was sweet but I couldn’t help but wonder why he didn’t bring her food and water. Maybe he would have won her heart if he had taken concern for her physical well-being.
I for one didn’t think too much about the way Jaga looked at Tygra. He looked rather stern at Cheetara when interviewing her. I think it’s just his normal expression. I do wonder why there was one cleric turned and facing them when Jaga interviewed Cheetara and all the others were looking away. I also wonder why they all kept their identities secret within the safety of their building.
Lion-O’s mother would be an awesome flashback. Seeing as she was never mentioned I think its safe to assume she’s dead.
It would be nice if they touched on her though, especially considering most of the group are orphans or former orphans.
As for little Tygra and his choice of gift, yes food would have been more practical. But I think were suppose to see some sort of grand romantic gesture because its a flower. Not that he was thinking all that straight:).
well it didnt take much effort for Tygra to spy through the window, and i imagine the Clerics would be aware of how easy it would be for others to do the same thing
Just a thought on the possibility of Tygra’s betrayal.
There is a way that Tygra CAN betray Lion-o .. and at the same time not be a traitor ..
Ok looking for how to word this .. Tyga has a lot of pent up frustraion and aggression toward Lion-o, and it quite often bubbles to the surface… and that may be a huge danger in the astral plane.
The were warned that thought s can become reality in the Astral plane. For those of you familiar with the movie think “Forbidden Planet” .. Tygra’a own thoughts may attack Lion-o , even if Tygra himself does not consciously want to really harm his brother.
Tygra may end up having to face his own internal demons for both brothers to survive ,
