In a way I am glad that I don’t have your eye for incongruency! If I noticed things like that it would take away from the story in a negative way.

Here’s one thing i don’t fully understand.
Thunderians claim not to “believe” in technology, they deny its existence. But how is it even possible?
Technology is everywhere, and has always been there. Just because you’re not using lasers and science doens’t mean you lack of technology. You could have a more primitive technology, but it’s technology at the end of the day.
How did they build their houses and a whole city without technology? How did they get drinks or even water without technology? And crops and food? All that needs technology, even if they only use woods and stones, they require technology.
Furthermore, how did Panthro build the thundertank if he knew nothing about technology? Granted, he was away “for a long time” (don’t know how), but even so, he would have had to learn Physics, Electronics, Computers, etc. to build it, and you just don’t learn it from night to day.
My point is, saying the thunderians “don’t believe in technology” is wrong, and they should have used another term. You can not believe in magic maybe, or Astrology, or whatever, but technology is always there and you can’t deny it. Maybe it’s not high technology, but it’s technology after all.
Im sure all the kids watching the show are thinking the same thing…:o

I completely agree with this. The wheel is basic technology, as is just about every thing else. I’d have liked a better term there.
what other term could they use? machinery? science? either one, if you go down to its basic levels like you did with the word technology would still be there in their society.
How is it wrong? They basically did not belive in something more advanced than what they already had.
Same as the knights of our time ages ago, sure they did not belive it could get.. “better”
People of this day also think we wont make any more progress than we have now. So saying it’s wrong is just as it is. Wrong.
Regarding the Thundetank we don’t know how long he has been away, we don’t even know who built it (we really don’t) who helped with it etc. So that’s just debatable.
Pretty much everything we have done is Technology, but the word can also be used as “our technology is not there yet” as Tech could be used to describe things that we can’t reach or stuff like a lightsaber that just seem impossible that it will ever exist.
The thing is, they probably heard of technology somewhere, that there are flying ships on the ocean. Laser weapons that you use instead of bows etc. They denying it and saying it’s not real, i don’t blame them. Nothing is wrong with it.

I see your point. Maybe something like “Plundarrian Technology” or “Reptilian Technology”? That way they can brush aside the possibility that their enemies could be more advanced and hit them twice as hard when they realize that Slythe’s people weren’t nearly as backwards as they thought.
the Tech isn’t “reptilian techonolgy” though. Their tech was supplied by Mumm-Ra. The Thunderians have been warring with the Lizards for years. If they had tech already not only would they have been defeated the Thundercats, they wouldn’t have thought it was a myth.

Seems similar to the original series. Mumm-ra was the one who raised their ship out of the sands so they could actually use the technology. I’m assuming it has something similar to do with that. As in, Mumm-ra probably showed them the technology, or made it possible that they could use it. It may have been pre-existing, or possibly hidden for that matter.
My general point still stands. If they had said something like “Mumm-Ra’s technology” instead it would have felt less jarring to me. Is just personal opinion.
My best guess is that they’re talking about advanced technology and believe that there was no need to develop it any further.
Panthro learned how to build the Tank from somewhere or someone and we’ll find out in the next episode.

think what you want. they’ve consistently had info and images before anyone else including the full cast and pics of Mumm-ra and Panthro from the premiere before it even aired.
Which makes it more unbelivable. Keep it coming man!
My point is they can’t say they don’t believe in technology because they have used it themselves.
By thinking that you can’t do better in the future, it doesn’t mean that what you’ve got right now is because of a certain technology, proper of a certain era.
Same way, it would have been ok if Thunderasns have said “you can go further from what we’ve already got”, but to say that there’s no thing such as technology is a nonsense IMO.
It’s not the idea, it’s the term what I’m questioning here.
