I just received my EX. Mumm-Ra statue by Pop Culture Shock. I had placed my order very early so i belong to the first batch who got the ‘early release notice’ by SSC.
Unfortunately, i had to pay an extravagant amount of 150 euros extra for custom fees, this is a complete rip-off, especially during this time in Greece. Very likely the last PF i buy. Anyway i don’t want to start nagging and spoil the fun!

Thats awesome!! I skipped Lion-O, hated that one, but expect this one to arrive soon… Are the red and black ruffles on his helmet poseable? And how long/big is the Sword? It seems a bit small… I’m getting the regular, but just curious… Anyways, very cool!!
The ruffles are not poseable, thy are fixed on this position, they seem to be made from a metallic substance and covered with real fabric, they are very striking! , the bandages are great too,inside the box they’ve added extra bandages in case these wear out.
The sword isn’t small at all, it’s about 28 cm. long enough, however the thing is that with the light up function on the sword doesn’t light so bright as in Mumm-Ra’s chest and eyes. Generally, Mumm-ra is displayed better without the sword of Plun-dar, it is exactly like the opening scene when he transforms.It’s as if this pose has been 100% accurately captured. I’ll display him with his two hands open, i like it better that way, besides Mumm-ra didn’t use the sword until Second season and that wasn’t in many episodes;)
Thats completely awesome man, even with the rip off customs charge its a great buy, overshadows the lion o completely, super detailed and realistic, congratulations
Thanks starrcade89, he is indeed an amazing statue,everything the cape, sculpting, light up function, base have upped the ante. Mumm-ra looks beter than Lion-O, his base, light up mechanism, the real fabric as well as the cartoon accuracy, every aspect of this piece has hit the nail in the head.
Well, about the custom charges…it’s really bothersome and once again another example why my country has wounded up in this situation. I had to face all the red tape and pay ridiculous extra money for a product that i had already paid the shipping fees and i wasn’t aiming to merchandise it so as to earn profit. At least if these laws dictate to pay the custom charges, why would that have to be 160-200 euros??? which amount to 210-270 USD??? I mean it’s preposterous and beyond words. So i was wondering if fans from Europe had purchased Lion-o from SSC how much did they pay for custom??
One shop i’ve found here in Greece sells Lion-O for the amount of 450 euros…and we are talking about the regular version…Oh man that’s a 150 euros profit!!! I can’t believe it the rest of Europe is having the collectibles for such reasonable prices!
Add to that the Shops are always buying in wholesale and in large quantities and the shipping charges come in the whole bunch, so they don’t lose many money. Oh boy, this is a complete rip-off:mad:
I ordered from them a couple of times, and they’re reliable.
Mine is the regular version, of course.
Now HH is off, I guess I’ll have to get all the PCS statues, but only if they look like the animated series characters. Mumm-ra does, unlike Lion-O. However, there’s a size issue. I guess Mumm-ra’s much bigger size than HH’s Thundercats is ok, but this will be a problem with Panthro for example.
They are still calling them Cosmocats in France! that’s like the good old days!
Jerry hasn’t shown any pic of Cheetara yet which is said to be the next Tcats character by PCS. Abiut Panthro he commented that he is going to be pretty big and bulky matching the cartoon image.
It’s a pity the HH line didn’t continue, many fans supported it and was a ‘cheap’-comparing to PCS- solution for the Classic Thundercats fans. Icon Heroes\s staction unfortunately don’t have the statue quality.
Well about the sizes let em just tell you that Lion-O by PCS dwarfs HH’s counterpart!!
Jerry Macaluso mentioned that at this year’s SDCC his New Thundercats statues will be present too.So this isn’t too far away, Cheetara is going to be the next character, we will be seeing her at the convention!!

Yep, i’ve seen your pics with the bended ruffles and looks great.I am a bit afraid to bend them on my own Mumm-Ra though,the Statues are fragile and i don’t want to break anything, besides i like how they look.
I prefer to display him with both his hands open, instead of the Sword Of Plundar holding at this right hand,it’s more like Mumm-Ra from the opening scene,besidedshe hardly used the sword on the series
I think Cheeatara wil be present at the Comicon this year,
