Im so excited…here on our base the, the local office has set up an overnight stay at a castle with candlelight dinner and a overnight stay in the castle. This wouldve cost a fortune in the states and for 260 is quite a good deal. Tour is included as well as dinner, bubbly and overnight stay.If anyone comes to Germany you have to check out some of these catsles theyre beautiful.

The name of the castle is Schloss Hirschhorn or Castle Hirschhorn in english. The castle was built around 1200 and its located by the Neckar River. No ghost stories from the history on the website however some bad things happened after the death of their last night.

Robberies by the wild soldier hordes brought much need to the inhabitends of Hirschhorn. Then came in 1635 the Pest over the people and the great dying began. The Army is taking applicants…Im sure you could easily end up here. Trips to Germany are rather affordable if you go during off season. Usually trips during beginning of March are very affordable and you can even nail a cheap flight during mid December if you buy in advance.
Hey dude, great experience you have there! I hope the castle isn’t haunted with spirits. Other than that, it’s like a dream come true staying in that place!
