How many League of Legends characters are inspired by T-Cats?

This is a tongue in cheek razzle at League of Legends and their champion designs… because let’s face it… how could your works not in some way be affected by ThunderCats seeping into your psyche? Intentional or not, shared origins or not… it’s easy to draw parallels between League champs and ThunderCats characters. Let’s see how many we can line up…

Here’s a few:

Lee Sin inspired by Lynx-O

Amumu referencing Mumm-Ra? If anything i think they just had a Pharaoh in mind and not Mumm-Ra.

And what about alistar? So having horns and some sort of crest at the forehead makes it a Thundercats reference? By that logic Soraka is inspired by Amok as well, horns and crest on the head. The Tryndamere and King Arthur one also does not even look the same other than the white color. You’re gasping at straws here buddy.

In short… Nope. The Ashe picture for example just looks like an archer and FOR REAL look nothing like Mila, not in colors, design, face or anything.

There’s no such thing as a new story bro.

If you think the game designers aren’t affected either knowingly or unknowingly from their childhood cartoons you haven’t looked at Ruthless Pantheon.

I feel like I’m from a different planet, but I’ve never heard of League of Legends… That being said, some of the designs are very similar to ThunderCats designs, especially the Soraka, Woad Ashe and Corki ones. The little Gnarl creature looks like the 2011 Snarf, right?

It’s grasping, not gasping.

Who the heck is Mila?

EDIT

Okay, I just used the google-machine on this Ruthless Pantheon person… thought I was looking at He-Man!

Ruthless Pantheon is definitely inspired by He-Man.

I must look into League of Legends as the characters look very interesting.

Wow be more of a dick cause i did some spelling mistakes buddy :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course, but again, the amumu skin is obviously a Pharaoh which has existed for a long long time. I’d rather say it comes from a normal mummy than actually Mumm-Ra. It just feels like you try to connect every little bit of it to Thundercats the best you can instead of trying to look at the bigger picture and other stuff/franchises. Like with nunu, the only resemblance IMO is that both of the big characters have a little one sitting on them. I could name many things where similar things have happened before and after Thundercats.

In short, not many of these really look like something that DIRECTLY comes from Thundercats. If there would be a Lion character holding a sword with a red dot in the middle, now that would be a Thundercats reference, but a mummy character looking like Pharaoh and an archer just looking like a “out in the wild bow wielder” is just you GRASPING at the longest straws.

Hey look, this guy probably got inspired from Thundercats too because.. He’s a rat…

I guess you didn’t read my first post where I framed this whole thread as a tongue in cheek razzle (for fun) and that the inspirations may have come from common origins.

That’s an expression i’ve never heard, knew of or know what it means. My bad buddy.
