Hmm… Claudus and Lion-O fighting was a lesson being taught from father to son but Lion-O and Tygra fighting was a real battle between two very angry and opposed brothers. I see a big difference. Also, in the OS, the sword broke when Lion-O didn’t summon the Eye but simply used the blade to fight against Tygra. So this is a big difference between laws concerning the OS sword and laws concerning the NS sword. I’m not sure why the Eye of Thundera would differentiate in the NS.

This isn’t the OS. How many times do people have to say this? This isn’t exactly the only change from the OS (and certainly not the biggest).

Bring up the OS all you want but you probably know that comparing the OS and the NS is pointless as they are two separate and different series. anyway I think they changed this because of the moral ambiguity of some of the characters. someone doesn’t necessarily have to be evil to oppose Lion-O and this gives him a loophole to defend himself.
Grune is responsible for the death of we don’t know how many Thunderans. So, he has committed evil against his own people. Can he be redeemed? Yes. Should there be a penance? Depends on your worldview.

But what would happen if someone took the stone and made their own weapon, would the same rules still apply? What if somone used the gauntlet to attack, would the same rules apply there as with the sword?

as for the gauntlet it’s mainly for defence. to use it to attack I imagine you’d have to use the claws, which would be melee.
Yes indeed. He was suposed to use the stone for The Sword of Plun Darr right? Is the spell that is set against him just for the sword or the actual stone? If just the sword then someone else probably could pull it out for him or something i would suppose.
