Just to give everyone a heads up, the hosting renewal is due around July-August. The last hosting renewal was in 2007.
There are several topics that I’d like to address regarding the hosting renewal which is why I’m bringing this up early on. I’m not against putting up the funds for the hosting this time around (I believe we paid the previous renewal through advertising funds), but I’d like to discuss some options, one of which is moving to another host. I’ll elaborate more on this by the end of May.
I know I haven’t really been active with the site since the beginning of the year. Mark and I have discussed my situation and I appreciate his understanding throughout everything. That being said, I’m graduating in July from college (although my classes end in August) and so I’m expecting to have a little more time on my hands to focus on the site by September.
I really want to celebrate the site’s 4th anniversary in a big way and while I have a couple of ideas going through my head, I’m going to wait and make sure I can pull it off. But if you guys have any ideas on how to celebrate the 4 year anniversary, feel free to input it here.
As for the site’s future, I’m confident that the site will continue to grow regardless of what happens with the movie. I was planning everything around the movie, but with the unfortunate news of it being in limbo, I had to regress and make new plans. The redesign is definitely still in the plans, but that too is also going to change from what was previously discussed.
All of this will be discussed with everyone in due time.
It all sounds good, Manny - keep us apprised of your plans, I’m definitely intrigued by the 4th anniversary plans (can it really have been 4 years?!).
As I stated in another thread, even though my “offline” life keeps me mega-busy, I want all of you guys to know that I remain committed to this site and do fully intend to add more content to my sections as and when the opportunity presents!
I’ll be happy to help in any way I can although I should tell you that I’m away from the beginning of June to late August - trying to get something sorted so I’ll have regular internet connection there and then but can’t promise anything.
I second that. Even though Im super busy myself (due to my promotion last year) Im still comitted as well. Just so you guys know the domains were renewed late last year and funds from TCLs Paypal account were used.

Just an update: still planning on a 4th anniversary celebration.
And the hosting has been renewed for another year (it was expiring in 7 days).
I know it’s really difficult for all of us to get online at the same time, but I would like to plan a meeting in two weeks discussing the site’s future.
I’d like as many of us to attend as possible. I’ll be off during the week so my time will be more flexible (so long as it isn’t the 19th as that is my birthday).
Some of the topics I’d like to cover: site future, 4th anniversary, podcast, redesign, as well as anything else you guys would like to bring up.
I think a team meeting would be a good idea, although in all honesty I can’t see all or even most of the team being there because our real lives just get in the way so much these days - that’s not meant to be a wet blanket but just being realistic…
As regards my own availability - Sunday 16th, Monday 17th & Tuesday 18th are all excellent as I’m actually free on all of those days at the present time (which is very unusual). I may end up getting called into an emergency band rehearsal for one of them but at the moment they’re all free!
Wednesdays are never any good for me I’m afraid…
Thursday 20th it would depend on the time of the meeting - I’m at a rehearsal from approximately 7:00pm - 9:30pm UK time, apart from that I should be free…
Friday 21st, again depends on the time, but is awkward - officially I’m out from about 6:30pm - midnight UK time…
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd are both no good whatsoever as I have 3 gigs over the course of the 2 days!!
Following that, as it stands Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th are both excellent as they are currently completely free!
I;m in for the meeting… will try to be flexible for the weekend but its harder in the summer. EST mornings are best for me on weekends.

Assuming no one has done this already - could I suggest that it might be worth sending an e-mail directly to each member of the team regarding this proposed meeting? It’s evident to me that some members of the team only check back to these Boards occasionally, and may miss this thread…
Just to add too that, as it stands, all the times and dates mentioned above are still good for me!
I am on holiday this week and have no clue what my schedule is for when I get back.. Put me down as a ‘we will schedule the meeting and see if Kyle is free, if not who cares’ kind of situation lol..

Hey Neil, nope, as far as I’m aware the meeting never happened (which to be honest isn’t entirely surprising given how different our respective availabities are) - it would be awesome to have you back on board, I miss seeing you around on these forums and elsewhere!

Thanks for the kind words about Louis - I miss him so much, although we do have a beautiful new Balinese kitten called Molly who has brought a lot of joy into our lives!
It would be awesome to catch up one evening when we’re both indoors - I haven’t logged onto either Skype or MSN in an age as I’m rarely at home of an evening anymore!
