We currently have two bidders with standing offers of $10k for the painted bubbler. Personally, I think the painted one will actually go for more than the set of two simply because it “looks nicer” and is really attached to the catalog photography.
In this business as well… color equals cash. Colored or painted pieces generally bring in higher amounts. Unless of course… you speaking on one of a kind wax pieces… :rolleyes:

Why is Joe holding Tuska Warriors gun? Did he kill the poor guy?
Part of the early prototype design system. Per HH’s page, the gun is a modified one from DUNE. Same as Shiner’s blaster being different. Also, Joe’s scarf is different in this prototype than it was in the production version.
The prototypes shown with the hardcopies are the exact ones that were archived with the figures. Meaning, they were packed up exactly as shown from LJN.

Up comming auctions
Hey guys it’s been a while since my last post on these forums, but lately I have noticed that a lot of people have been going into panic mode over these upcoming auctions (I know I have). I don’t know about anyone else but I have been waiting my whole life for a chance to buy all the figure and vehicles that LJN never made, but teased us with by posting them in the mini catalogues. I have heard a few people say that some of the prices are way too high, and others say too low. I believe that this will be a once in a life time for us to get these pieces and ya sure we all have a mortgage and bills to pay, but when these items are gone I know I don’t want to be sitting at home kicking myself because I did not place a bid to get that one figure or piece of Thundercats history. I don’t mean to preach, I just thought we could all use a pep talk before this first auction.

I’m sure we all appreciate the pep talk but some of these price expectations are steep and somewhat difficult for the majority to attain. I for one would love to own most of the items listed but I would rather keep a roof over my head, especially during these challenging times. Anyway good luck to everyone who participates!

I agree that having a roof over your head is priority #1, and I understand that in the USA and other parts of the world times are still rough for some people, After all you cant shower in a prototype thundertank.
It just seems like if you are going to place a bid already then we should be making them count. It would just be a shame if some of these items never get sold, then they just end up back in someones attic, or maybe even the garbage one day.
