Just a quick line to firstly say, thanks to Chris, Neil, Kyle and all the guys at Thundercatslair.org for the outcome of the superb interview they did with me and secondly to say what a brilliant site this is.
I love the way Kyle inked and coloured those panels from my old artwork…Thanks Kyle…I’ll be in touch soon - I promise…
Thanks again to Chris for the incredible amount of appreciation and respect shown to me both during and after the interview.
It is very appreciated for all the support and material you have provided us, it is an honor to have someone like yourself contribute such amazing pieces. Thanks again Mr. Perkins
Thanks to you too for the warm welcome and the kind words.
Again the pleasure is all mine.
It was fun digging out all the artwork from my archives.
You forget some of the things until you come across them again.
Another artist once told me that this happens and I used to think that would never happen to me…
But it does - you work on so much work and to intense deadlines at times that time just passes by so quickly and you do indeed forget some of the stuff you worked on in the past until you see it once again.
As my fellow team members have said, we are very thankful for all of the artwork you provided. From a personal level I love to see original work that is usually hidden or spoiled by colourists. It is great to give it a platform where it can be appreciated.
I am glad you liked the colour job I did your pencil piece. I actually didn’t ink it.. I just played around with the contrast to simulate black lines. I just though it was the least we could do in return.
Hope you stay around the boards. I would encourage you to start a thread in the General Art area to showcase some of your recent stuff… that would be great.
Hey Tim, fantastic to see you over here my friend!! Ironically, I’d been going to e-mail you to suggest that you consider signing up to our Boards - and I log on tonight and find you here!
Thank you for the fantastic stuff that you’ve donated to us, and for being so supportive of this site - it’s always a buzz speaking with you, and like Kyle said, I hope you’ll be able to stick around!
I have just been taking a long hard look around the website tonight and it really is a credit to you guys…Superb stuff and pack with some really nice and friendly folks too, which makes it all the more better.
It was a really nice gesture to finish off the panels like that. It was nice to see what you did with unused pages that have never been seen in public before.
That’s really nice of you to offer a new showcase thread in the General Art area to me.
I will certainly take you up on it when I have a little more time to upload some of my new work here.
The older work does make you cringe a little, but it is part of your past and shows, hopefully a progression. I think the difference for me at the moment is I am producing the kind of stories and characters I have always wanted to, without having the constraints imposed on you, especially nowadays, due to existing continuities and franchised IP’s.
It will be nice to see what the Thundercats fans think of this new work compared to the stuff I did for Marvel UK on the Thundercats comics.
Speak to you again soon.
I’m off to do a little more on the poster, before I hit the sack.
Tim, Glad you joined the forum and it’s so fantastic to hear you like the site!
We have so much to put up, but little time to do it.
As I’ve said before, your art is an absolute credit to you and an huge treat for our site, so I want to thank you again (this time publicly) for all your help with Thundercats art (as well as The Dreamstone stuff)
