Hello guys, sorry I’ve been MIA for so long… haven’t had much time for hobbies lately, been knee deep in shit at work and kind of reeling after receiving a promotion and having heaps of new work thrown on me.
Finally managed to get my head above water long enough to check in here. And also started buying and selling some animation art again.
Kind of disappointed to see the animation art moving into a subsection. I still believe (selfishly I guess) that the animation art section is one of the most unique aspects of our site, one that no other site can rival. I also understand that I need to keep that section alive if it is to remain a vital part of the website. Ultimately, I’ll agree with Manny’s decision because he has to look at the best interests of the entire site, and I’m mostly only concerned with my own area.
Anyways, I have some great new cels that I want to start scanning and loading to my section. It will take me a while to get to it all, but I’ll do it all in bite size pieces so that I can keep it moving.
Mark!!! I’m really delighted to see you back here, my friend - it’s been quite some time since we last spoke!
Sorry to hear how much of a pressure the work side of things has been - believe me when I say, I know what it’s like when life gets on top of you. Glad to know you’re otherwise OK, anyway.
Re: the Animation Art - whilst I understand what you mean, I have to be honest and say that I think Manny’s made the right decision integrating that into the Cartoon Section. If I’m being honest, I think that’s logically where it should be, plus it helps makes things easier to navigate/categorise. I’m sure I speak for everyone though when I say that where it’s located doesn’t change our view of what important and fascinating content it is - what it actually means is we now have one of the best damn Cartoon Sections of any ThunderCats site on the 'net, and that is largely thanks to your dedication, expertise and hard work on that section!
I would also say, I’m delighted to know that you’re still keen to be a part of the team and expand even further upon that section - I’m 100% certain that your contributions will continue to make a massive difference to the site!
It’s great to see you back Mark and the new art you have just posted is amazing! You always find the best stuff, I don’t know how you do it!
I think moving the AA to the cartoon section is probably the right thing to do to improve the cartoon section. I still think that the AA will stand out there.
Well it’s good to see you back, hopefully we will see more of you from now, but if work is still busy then I understand. Thanks for checking in though with the excellent new stuff!
Mark it is so awesome you’re back. We need the one person who knows his stuff for the Animation Art podcast. Again I’m very glad youre back and with such awesome material
