Hello everyone! ^.^ My name is Cougara and I’ve been a fan of the show ever since it first aired way back in the 80’s. I’m so thrilled the show is back and being handled so well, it’s too rare to find a show that has just about everything and isn’t a pile of animated refuse. But I digress slightly here…
I’m a big role player, mostly through chat rooms and such and I can’t wait to start playing in the Thundercat’s realm. I was an original member of the long ago “TCRPG”, which was actually my first venture into the RPing world online. Can’t wait to see if I can get a chance to relive the adventures again, with friends old and new hopefully. XD
Hi, my name is rlw1984 and I am a fellow Thundercats fan. When the show first aired back in 1985 I was only a year old and by the time the series had ended I was five years old so I didn’t have an opportunity to really to see to see the series when I was younger. However, I did catch a glimpse from an episode or two when I became much older and wasn’t too impressed with it. This newer Thundercats though I am really enjoying, it has a perfect blend of comedy, action, adventure, suspense and even dark story telling.
I was already 5 when the show first aired, and my earliest memories are of me and my three brothers pretending to be Thundercats. :liono
I re-watched the series when it came on CN in the 90s, and though I was somewhat disappointed with some episodes I still loved it. I’m so happy they are doing such a fine job on this remake, can’t wait for it to continue. :wilykat:

Welcome fellow TC fan! I’m new here also, and wasn’t even born yet when Thundercats first aired. (born in 1988. Man, I bet I’m going to feel young here. XD) Though I am slowly acquiring the DVD’s with all the episodes on them and I am enjoying them.
I’d be willing to try out an rp with you sometime? Though at the moment I’d only really be able to go on my knowledge from the 2011 series and the first 30 or so episodes of the 1st season from the 80’s. (maybe for Christmas I can get the rest of season 1. crosses fingers)
I even have my own OC I have been developing, hence my username here. (Which if it wasn’t obvious, is a female ‘lion’ Thundercat. :P)

I’m actually interested in starting a RP for the 2011 series, and given that the season just recently ended it gives us a great point to just jump into the current storyline. I just need to get more people interested. :liono
Yeah it is interesting to see, I actually think I saw some of them back in the 90’s when they aired reruns, but as I would have been 2-10 years old back then, I don’t remember much. It is… nice? to actually be one of the younger members of a group. I’m used to being if not the oldest, one of the oldest. (Going to a junior college and most people are 17-20 years old). Yeah I like both styles a lot. Of the actual Thundercats (meaning not counting Snarf) Lion-O is my favorite, in both versions. (Though I think I like the OS version of him best, :P)
Very true that, hopefully we can find some more people interested! Gives me time to find someone to draw my OC for me. (I have an idea of what I want her to look like but eh… I can draw cats okay but not humanoid cats. XD)

I’ve always been partial to the kittens, both old and new version. ^.^ I liked Kit the most in the original, but in the new one I’m leaning towards Kat.

I have never heard of the canon Lion-O ever having a sister, the closest I can recall was in the TCRPG when TV Racer made the character Lionera for the game. I remember this because from that character I spawned an arachnid version I simply named “Era”. But as far as I know Lion-O had no other canon family save Claudis in the OS.
It is indeed, even if my friends and family think I am crazy watching such a cartoon at my age. XD
I like the Thunderkittens as well, they just always seem to make me laugh. Though Snarf and Lion-O are my two top favorites. (Hence the reason my OC Lionessa ends up being a cough love interest cough for Lion-O.)
Hm I like that name, Lionera. Maybe it is just me, but it seems easier coming up with male sounding names for most of the cat species than female names. Or well, nice sounding ones? Good, I’m glad to know that I didn’t just unknowingly make a TC with Lion-O’s sister’s name, it would be interesting if he did end up having a sister though.

Yeah they are too serious, they would rather me watch some of those annoying newer shows on Disney than a cartoon. x.x At least on TC you learn some good lessons, unlike a lot of stuff on tv today. (But then debating about the 80’s-90’s having better cartoons than now-a-days would probably be better talked about in another board. :))
I don’t think they are necessarily too serious, just not into Thundercats. They may be MLP fanatics like we are about Thundercats. Best to just enjoy your particular likes and not give thought to those whos opinions differ. :liono
Nope, I watch that too(loved it back in the 80’s 90’s and love the new series too) they basically don’t like cartoons at all, think they are only for children. But true, we all have our likes and dislikes, and some of us still have more ‘child’ in us than others I guess. I’ll never feel too old to watch cartoons, certain ones at least like TC and MLP.

That name does ring a bell. ^.^ And don’t worry about how “original” something is, I had a character I named “WileyClaw” because I could think of nothing else. Names have always been a bit of a weak spot with me, but I hope to improve on it. XD I’m really interested in a chat room RPing deal as well as a message board one.
