Hey everyone, thought I would introduce myself.
I’ve lurked around these forums a few times over the years and I finally decided to join. Finally decided to join the fellow Thundercat-aholics out there like me.
A little bit about myself, I am 28 years old and have been a die hard Thundercat fan since I was 3 when I first saw the advertisements for TCats come on TV. Everyone who knows me knows how much I loved them and have mentioned the new series to me, etc.
Although I am new to these forums, I am a member and SMod of another forum, non TCat related, its a forum based on sword collecting/other types of collecting (my username is from there, obviously, sword collecting is my MAJOR collection endeavor), LOTR/The Hobbit, and other fantasy/movie and related topics.
I remember being little my mom scouring the local stores to find me the new TCat figures and accessories that I didn’t already have, these were well before the days of internet shopping. I can say that I had all the TCat toys that were ever available in the area I lived in, I still have them, although when I played with my toys as a kid, my TCats beat the crud out of each other, so they arent in the greatest shape.
I can’t wait for the new series to start and to start collecting the new toys and statues (already have some of the new statues from Hard Hero, etc) and one day I would like to collect the original toys again, in better condition then the ones I already have.
I am glad TCats is getting so popular again that us original series fans can see the new series and some younger kids can experience TCats and maybe go back and watch the originals.
For a long time I thought I was the only one that I knew that knew who the TCats were and I would get so mad if someone mispronounced a name or something like that, I was pretty bad.
As far as my TCat favorites, I have always liked Lion-O, Tygra and Bengali, (always liked the leaders of groups in cartoons and the scientists, etc) and Bengali was a white tiger, my favorite as a kid! I liked Mumm-Ra of course, out of the cartoons I watched as a child, he was the epitome of pure evil, so scary, what other bad guy was described as an ancient devil priest?! I also liked Alluro, he had the greatest lines, he was so creepy and his soft soothing voice made him even creepier.
I know a lot of people didn’t like the addition of the new Tcats and the Lunataks, but I liked them, although I really liked Alluro and Chill-a, the others were a bit annoying and I didn’t always like how the older characters got their “screen time” cut, hopefully this go round if they do add the “new thundercats” or the lunataks, I hope they just make room for everyone!
Sorry for rambling on and on. I am just super excited for the new series and super excited to be amongst fellow TCat fans like myself.
