I’m Carnivac. Big fan of the original show, Marvel comic & toyline and have been since I was a tiny cub in the 80’s. As a kid I only ever had Snowman & Mumm-Ra (and I often tried to steal my friend’s Sword of Omens, but always got caught by his mother) but about ten years ago when I first used eBay I got a bit hooked on collecting some of the old toys and had the main 'Cats and Mutants and the 'Tank, Thunderclaw and Fistpounder but had to sell the lot cos the way my life was at the time and needed money. However the DVD releases of the show and then more recently purchasing the 8 inch Classic Lion-O got me re-hooked and I’ve started building up a collection again. I joined this forum and also the one at thundercats.ws just before christmas to get help collecting and ideas for customising and repairing old figures. Anyways I’m gonna have a proper look around. :liono

I’ve used the main site before for all sorts of reasons (reference, looking up what certain figures should have complete, listening to the excellent cast interviews).
I’m a little confused I can’t seem to find threads on the short-lived Classic figures (or the other modern merchandise based on the original show such as the Minimates although I’ve no interest in those myself)

Hi Carnivac, welcome to the site! The first Tcat thing I ever bought on ebay was an old metal lunch box I used to have as a little girl…granted, it didn’t have the thermos, but I’m still glad I bought it. After that, I bought the old comics and most of the UK Tcat comics…I’m 29 shy of the full set out of 129…thanks again to Catamountain for selling me his set of UK comics a few years ago…which I will add that I have taken very good care of since I’m a comic book junkie! I gave away my extra UK comics to two friends…well, one I haven’t heard from again, which I hope is still okay and the other…well, she’s still cool but we don’t talk anymore.

Just reminded me that when I was about 10 or 11 my bedroom wall was covered in the pull-out posters from the Marvel UK ThunderCats comic. It’s probably why I had so few complete issues afterwards cos I think some of the posters had pages from the comic story on the back. I swear I’ve still got at least one issue somewhere. I think issue 90 with the mutants about to catapult a snowball on the cover.
