I was very happy to learn, honestly i wasn’t aware that one member of our TCLsite is a young and inspiring director in UK who has already two short-films at his portfolio and is now finishing his third, One Last Hit, which is inspired by the darkness of Taxi Driver and the Black comedy of Coen brothers.
Unfortunately i still haven’t watched any of his previous works, Separation(2006) and the Painting(2008) but i expect Wayne to let us know as soon as possible where we can find them. I always believe that whether it is underground comics, music or movies and short films, generally every artistic approach of creative, fresh minds ought to be promoted and be at the forefront. Also, i really didn’t know that his short-film the ‘Painting’ made it to the Cannes 2008 and was well received!

Below is the link of ‘One Last Hit’, the poster reminds me of Kent William’s drawings with a touch of Paul Pope’s characters design. At least the poster seems promising. The Crime/Gangster category is sort of difficult to rise above the genre’s cliches creating an original and innovative story, yet i have a good feeling for this one. The Trailer at the website is actually a show reel of past works he has done. Hey Liar Dice when the real one is ready let us know,personally i am really looking forward to it.
I’d really like to donate now a few dollars but this will have to wait for a couple of weeks because financially things aren’t going as they were supposed to and it’s been kind of difficult. I don’t know if anyone else is willing to from the board.

Thanks Lordore i appreciate the support. The teaser trailer is 90% complete and we are just waiting on some CG FX then we can go live with it. Its been a long time in the making and hard hard work but its a real passion.

Thanks Lordore, its just a taster of the film really before its even cut. The heavy grain wont be on the actual piece. I just needed to get something out there for perspective financiers.
I have a couple of people composing the sound track, we are always interested in new involvement if you wont to put anyone forward. I like to make our films very organic.
Just hope the trailer will now boost a couple more people to donate some money through indiegogo.com so it can be colour graded and DVD authored once edited in January.

Had I not been bankrupt and broke, I would have gladly donated to help. How have things progressed since your last post?
The film is completed (thanks to everyones support), accepted to Cannes film fest 2011 and entered into the Tromadance festival. DVD are currently being printed and duplicated as well as posters and a carded action figure of the main character!, which will soon be able to be purchased from the film website. Also in talks to have it bought by an acquisition company. Fingers crossed that will help to pay of the film and lead to the next project, which is a horror short.
Larry Kenneys signed script for the new cartoon show is still up for auction as well. THANK YOU LARRY! :liono
