Ah ha! How interesting…a Thunderian with a Plundarian. Notice how Lord Slithor was so quick to mention she’s his fiancee? That’s so cute. I remember when my husband used to do that when we were dating…OMG that was 14 years ago…I’m getting old! That’s such a nice way of saying “Back off, she’s mine, don’t flirt with her!” It makes me feel good knowing guys still think highly of their women like that.

Actually, we’ve got 5 years on you and your hubby, Lynxana. We’ll be celebrating our 19 years together this month!
Yes, we are making definite plans for the wedding. Won’t be a huge production number, though. But there’s been a slight snag: we have an old friend who made us promise that she’d be the DJ. Well, to make a long story short, what happened recently was she and her husband - who was to be our decorator and is also a friend of ours - split up. Now we can’t get hold of her, and gods know where she is now.
I know that the easy thing to do would be to simply get another DJ, but like I said, she’s a dear friend and we really want her there. Plus we also have another friend who’s a certified minister who will be performing the ceremony. So having friends in key positions is kind of in keeping with the theme here. (And she wanted to play a lot of Daft Punk, too. And that would be awesome!)
BTW, even though this is the first time we talked, we kind of already know of you through a another board. So it’s nice to finally make your acquaintance here!

Yes, for the past 19 years we’ve been celebrating the day we met and called it our anniversary.
I’ve known my husband since 1995, we started dating in May of 1997 and in June of 1998 we got married. What I find funny, and you’ll appreciate this since you’ve been together for 19 years, is when teenagers or twenty-somethings start dating and celebrate one or two month anniversaries. They treat the six month anniversaries like a wedding LOL
When I worked as a cook before I went back to college, the one waitresses asked me what my plans for Valentine’s Day were. Then I said this “Oh hunny no! I’m married, we don’t do that anymore!” ROFLMAO The look on her face was priceless.
Welcome to the Lair! It’s aways nice to find couples sharing the same passions, let alone when we are talking about cartoons…I wish this ever happened to me once with a girlfriend! Here, there is a misconception these are strictly related to Geeks and nerds which really makes me angry because i never was or look like that.
I am a bit dumbfounded with your years of commitment and marriage! I think if there is true love, then it’s really great but in most cases other things are holding together the couples nowadays. I am sorry if i am sounding a bit macho but this comes only from personal experiences, i am not saying i am the right one on this. The longest i’ve stayed in a relationship is 3 years and after a while this whole ‘live and breath for your mate’ thing really choked me!! After a while i believe it is a bit pretentious and hardly applicable to be 24/7 7 days the week and 365 days the year in love with the same person.
PS. i am expressing ONLY my theory, not trying to convince anyone.
I don’t know if you ever dropped by Cheezey’s board. I’m guessing I might have heard you mentioned there. It was a very long time ago, so I might be wrong.

That’s fine, Lordore. To be honest, there was a time when we weren’t sure if we wanted to get married or even stay together! But having thought about it over the years, we realized we had been together through a lot of things, we rarely if ever had any fights or arguments, we agreed on a lot, and we just worked well together. And a lot of people who had never even met us were referring to us as either “your wife” or “your husband” because I guess we just had been together for so long we acted like a married couple!
So one day as we were coming home I said to her, “You want to get married?”
She said, “Yeah.”
I said, “Okay.” And that was it. Not the most romantic proposal in the world, I know. But that’s us! 
There’s the sex, too. But that’s something I think better suited for The Great Void! Lol!
