Once again, sorry for my absence as just when I thought I was on the mend I developed a really bad kidney infection among other ailments, so I’ve been resting a lot lately.
I’m just getting ready to start my final year of my Masters at University, and my wonderful supervisor has given me an extension, so I am not worrying (too much…) about failing or not working on the academic projects I love. I’m actually pretty much over the depression that plagued me for such a long while, and while I have some problems physically, I’m back on the road to being the Mikey you all once knew and hopefully loved.
I’m actually aiming to find a career in music reviewing and writing articles on music for newspapers/magazines and online publications. Apparently, people tell me I’m good at promoting and I’ve been working with artists like Val Kilmer and Jon Peter Lewis among others, so although I’ve decided not to go on to a PhD, I think I’ve finally found my calling. This way I can put my writing skills to good use and help a lot of people I believe in, and in turn this makes me feel important and my contributions valuable. That’s all I needed all along to bounce back.
I’m still shy, given to anxiety and nervousness, and I worry a lot, but I do hopefully have a lot of good qualities too.
I haven’t forgotten my love of Thundercats among other things, and I’ll try and pop in and out a bit more often if you like.
I’m glad your finishing your masters degree. I’m only starting my associate’s in August (I had a year back in 1994 but I quit, now I’m back)
I understand all about depression as I am bipolar and finally found the right med after nine years of finding the right one. (I felt like a guinea pig with all the meds…lithium, welbutrin, pamalor, zyprexa, lamictal…etc) My depression was from a bad marriage, I’m sure you might not feel comfortable saying what caused your depression but I’m here if you want to PM me. Also, I really don’t know you, but I’m sure if I knew who you were, I’m sure I would love ya.

I’m so happy you found your calling. It takes skills to do promoting and you need alot of contacts and sources to do so. OMG, I can’t believe you worked with Val Kilmer! I envy you! LOL When I was about 14 or 15, I thought he was so handsome and I had such a crush on him. He was Iceman in Top Gun and omg I thought he looked so handsome in that Navy uniform!

Tygra was shy too…even though I love to pick on that character because he is loved by alot of my tcat friends. (I gotta be the protagonist ) Here’s a fact about me…in real life, I’m extreamly shy and too nice for my own good even though online I’m very bold and extraverted. I’m sure you have alot of great qualities. Perhaps someday you can tell me what they are. So far you seem very friendly and that is a nice quality.

Cheers, Mikey
I still haven’t forgotten about my love of Thundercats too…even though for awhile I did. Eh, when you work six days a week you tend to. But I spoke with my boss today and I’ll be getting two days off a week now! So I try to post on Tcats sites here and on Purrsia’s site. I have to admit…I was leary of TCL because it seems to be all about Tcat toys and very strict but I am meeting so many new fans, that I am overlooking that to talk to them. LOL
