If this is true, I agree that it may just be because they are releasing a second line, or another company is going to take over the toyline. If nothing else, like stated before, shows CAN survive w/o toylines. Just because the OS was heavily toy-based doesn’t mean the new one should be. Kids just don’t want toys as much now. I think the release of the video game soon plus the improved ratings over the first half of the season will be what keeps the show alive.

CN is to be blamed as well, but as far as the advertising is concerned, i’ve been reading many US fans stating that it is a common place for modern cartoons not to be supported by TV ads or being properly promoted.
However, the show does well and has improved in viewership by leaps and bounds. No one blames the quality of the NS. I don’t hold responsible so much CN if the cartoon ends, their part has been carried out at least for Season 1.On top of that we have stressed many times, it’s very important to make a Toyline to progress with the cartoon.It’s difficult to leave out the Toys and rely only on the cartoon.
On the other hand, the toys were destined to be doomed,many mistaken choices, they diverted attention by producing two different sizes for exactly the same toy designs. meaningless figures like Lion-O&Tygra Deluxe, Wave 2 was actually half released, figures like Tygra 6’’ that fans craved to buy was in very low quantity. For many months Bandai gave us no signs of life for their Thundercats license, the toys were OK but not up to par, as they should have after 25 years the franchise relaunched, the 8’’ Classic line received positive reviews and fans loved it but instead of going on making more they gave us the shoddy 6’’ Lion-O(God make him..).The list goes on… It was a foregone conclusion the line would have a sudden finish unless Bandai did the right moves to improve things, which was feasible and the fans expected as much.Unfortunately,the company opted to leave the Toyline die.
It’s sad to see that happen, but I’m trying to be optimistic. I’ve tried to buy as much ThunderCats stuff as I can, and I’ve gotten at least 10 or more people hooked on the show. I’m just hoping maybe the ratings will show CN that people want it to have a second season, despite the toyline because let’s be honest; more older kids and adults watch this than little kids 8 and under (a.k.a. the kids still interested in toys). That’s why I’ve always called the rating system on the show crap because they only do it for kids 6-11. Sure, it still beats out several of CN’s “favorite” shows (a.k.a. the ones they advertise too much) in that age group, but it’s still crap. If we really want a second season, we should focus more on the ratings than the toys, because they obviously weren’t what everyone wanted.
On another note, I don’t think the toys are (were) fitting for the show. The show has very mature elements and a decent amount of violence for a kids’ show, and to try to put that into toys seems a little ridiculous, especially when the apparent target age starts at six-year-olds. I’ve counted maybe 3 episodes where no one died or was killed. In other words, I always thought the show was too serious and mature for toys, much like The Last Airbender and The Clone Wars.
If true this really is a shame. I will continue to hold out hope that the next season comes out and that the toyline continues (even if through another company). We have all waited so long for the show/toys to return that it would be devastating for it to go away now…
I’ve read on the ThunderCats.ws forums that there must be a high demand for more “ThunderCats” toys from Bandai (1985 and 2011), but that demand never happened. 
At least i hope Wave 2 or at least the part which made it to production gets released in EU as well in September, figs like Tygus and Claudus are great
Not surprising, really. Let’s hope the show won’t be cancelled as well.
i will say this, cn has always been a bad network at promoting new shows or showing shows that they do not mske themselves, if thundercats leave the airwaves they will be in the same situation as 2000 series heman when it aired as well.
At least He-man got two seasons before it ended.

Still wonder if bandai.co.uk will bring wave 2 to the UK if the American line is stopped.
Just wonder if the bandai wave 2 rare stuff will go up in value. Storm chasers n tygras will be worth more!
I have a feeling what stock was produced of wave 2 will end up in the UK. I know when the 2002 MOTU toyline was cancelled in the US, the UK got the final waves. It would be a smart move for Bandai since the UK is yet to air Season 2 of the cartoon.
I’d assume this just might be the case… wave 2 must have been produced in bigger numbers than what has been sold thus far 
The uk will probably just end up with a load more wave 1 liono,tygra n mummras!
So do toy makers hold waves back for international sales or produce new toys?

I think a quota would have been set aside for wave 2 in the UK. The question is the amount though…
If we get it, I’d assume only Toys R Us and The Entertainer will stock it. Maybe Hamleys as well. Of course this all speculation on my part and I could be wrong. The whole lot could even go straight to discount stores…
I really hate how the “ThunderCats” reboot is porrly marketed.
If Thundercats 2011 is a sinking ship, Bandai’s bad handling and CN’s poor marketing and no proper advertising is to be blamed. It’s a paradox because the fans have wholeheartedly supported the show and its quality. The difficult part all along was to make a good show, the toys would just have to follow and enhance its greatness, but here we have the exact opposite the Show is amazing but the toys are damaging its reputation leading to its demise. I am really mad with Bandai.
I call that a total disregard for a show with so much history. Bandai doesn’t only undermine the 2011 Tcats show but compromises any future release of Tcats. Who is going to give it a shot after this sudden and unexpected downfall, provided this bad ending happens. How long is it going to take 25, 30 or 40 years for a new Show and Toyline…and that’s what really worries me
Bandai should have been much more careful and serious with Thundercats from day one, this is a franchise not to be played with, it is unacceptable to have let down so many fans showing total lack of respect for the Tcats mythos.
I really hope i am mistaken and something good happens which will change the predicament

Lets face it, from the start the cartoon received a lot of mixed reviews…it was very different from the original, combined with the bad marketing and low quality of toys and the terrible distribution…it seems the show is inevitably doomed (although personally i attribute 90% of the failure to the fact that the “new” “innovative” take of the story was terrible. they did not have to re-invent the wheel, just dust it off and make it roll again. in the initial interviews prior to the launching of the cartoon the producers kept patting themselves on the back claiming that fans just need to be patient because they had a lot of “cool” new twists…in the end they’re “twists” didn’t appeal to hardcore classics fans like me and obviously had no impact on new generations )…i just pray that Mattel picks the toy line and makes a monthly figure like the do with MOTU, they do such an awesome job with that franchise…it they so that they can guarantee themselves a monthly contribution from me!
Mixed reviews? What show have you been watching because Thundercats 2011 has been recieving mostly good reviews.

- TC Fans saying how useless the new figure line is, picking holes in the story, and constantly questioning the longetivity of the series and figures.
