Happy New Year everyone! :slight_smile: Sorry I’ve been away for a while. It’s nothing to do with anything here. Just that I’ve been kind of occupied the last couple of months. Well…that and I didn’t feel as if I had anything that I felt I could add to any of the discussions. Though I’m glad Lady Ocelli has been keeping things going. Thanks hon! :slight_smile:

Anyway, it’s a new year, and I’ve just got a great feeling about it. Don’t ask me how, I just do. I just wanted to take a look back, though at 2011 in what were my favorites in movies, TV and video games and remember some of the people we lost as well.

The Hobbit is supposed to come out this year! Too bad it’s not coming out until December. I just watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy over the weekend. Great trilogy, gotta say the third is my favorite, lots of great moments, and the extended editions are far better than the theatrical releases.

As for your movie list, sorry, but I would put Green Lantern at number one, gotta be one of my all time favorite movies, saw it like 5 times in the theater, never seen any movie that many times in a theater. I was disappointed in The Muppets.

My top movie choices:

1 Soul Surfer (ok, when I looked through the list of 2011 movies, I realized this movie moved me the most, had me in tears)

Although I have not yet seen Sherlock Holmes or Mission Impossible or Hugo, I kinda want to see those. I wish I could have liked Transformers more, but Shia LeBeouf annoys me and I had trouble watching the actions and figuring out what was what with all the machines. My brother liked Captain America a lot more than I did. I guess it balances out because I liked Green Lantern a lot more than he did.

I was disappointed in Pirates of the Carribean and Puss in Boots.

I haven’t seen a lot of tv shows, but Once Upon a Time tops my list of new tv shows. I saw part of an episode of Terra Nova - it looked really good.
