I finally found my card reader to upload these pictures of my newly carved Jack-O-Lanterns. These are fake pumpkins that I bought at Micheal’s last year on clearance after Halloween. I actually bought three before Halloween last year and did similar things with them. Then I just waited for them to go on sale and bought a couple to carve up this year. Anyway here they are, and the best things about them are there are no pumpkin guts to clean up and they don’t go bad!!
The first needs no intro, the ThunderCats symbol (lights on, low lights, and no lights). The second is the Gears of War logo (lights on and no lights).
I think they turned out pretty good.

The one thing I did wrong was in the way I kept the logo attached to the rest of the pumpkin. If you look at the right side, there are two thin strips making bridges across. While this makes for a great appearance, they offer very little actual support. I can already see that they will easily fail and break. I guess I will get some fishing pole string and hot glue it across to hold the logo in place.
I probably should have left the entire right side connected to the rest of the pumpkin. Oh well, if the bridges break before next Halloween I’ll update with pics/details of how fishing pole string does in letting the logo “float” in mid air.
