It seems like a logical place to cut your losses, no? Core adult team complete, “new” thundercats team complete, mutants complete. Offer the twins and snarf together in a deluxe “sayonara” set, everyone walks away from the mess of a table - not necessarily the figures themselves, but the 40 miles of bad road.
This will be the accepted benchmark for how troubled an action figure line can be.
It would be nice if Warner Bros could let another company like NECA, McFarlane, Jazwares or pretty much any company make some Thundercats figures.
If Super 7 continued to make some for those that like thier subpar figures that’s fine, but it would be nice to get some accurate sculpted figures with modern articulation, substantialy better quality control at a somewhat reasonable price.
I was looking at my Thundercats shelf the other day and thinking along the same lines. I was thinking if they were to add Willykit, Willykat, and Snarf I would probably be OK with the collection. I’d like them to do Rataro and the Lunateks, but I think I’d be content if we at least got the Thundercats and main mutants.
Also, Super 7 doesn’t shy away from high prices, so with how everyone keeps hiking up prices who knows how much these will be by the time the line is done. It’s not that I can’t afford the prices to go up some; it just doesn’t feel like the value is there at times.
At this point, I’m kind of wondering if they are canceling the line. It’s been 3 years and all we’ve got is 5 waves…
