In the show, they constantly messed with the time lines. Even in the old and the new comics, they mess up the time lines.
Here’s another question about Grune. He and Jaga are about the same age…yet he looked strong and healthy and yet Jaga looked old and tired. Why is that?
I was always fascinated with rouge Thundercats, perhaps that is why Lynxana is my favorite character. (she was an ex-Thundercat in the old comics, she was also banished from Thundera…however, she rebelled for a good reason as where Grune did not. Then again, she was never in a suspension capsule and she appears in her 30’s when she talks to Lion-O when he says “Lynxana, I’ve heard that name before but I was so young.” and she replies “As was I, perhaps that is why it all happened.”)
Another question…why didn’t Grune get weak from Thundrainium? Jaga, as well as Grune were both ghosts, you would think a ghost couldn’t feel pain or anything else physical but Jaga felt weak as a ghost.
Atleast in the new comics, they have Grune in it a few times. What I also found very interesting that Grune’s ancestor was the first “Lord of Thundera” with Lion-L being the first “Lord of the Thundercats” In the comic “Origins: Heroes and Villains” the story about Grune was he said “when my grandfather was Lord of the Thundercats…”
So the time lines are always tampered with and messed up. When it comes to the Bolkins talking about Grune being “centuries ago”, I assume they are ignorant and their concept of time is exaggerated. Even in old folklore, people thought that moons were almost like years, thus the expression “many moons ago…”
Here’s another plot hole. In the episode “Jade Dragon”, they say centuries ago, Jaga helped Hatchiman’s ancestor escape the dragon via the Sword of Omens, Jaga was a young man when that took place. Are they saying that perhaps Thunderians have a much longer lifespan than humans? Who knows?
I guess in science fiction anything is possible. They never pay attention to time lines when writing a story, only the fans notice this.
