Goofs

Not the same as inconsistencies which means a lack of continuity between episodes. Goofs are within a single episode, mistakes that were made. What goofs have you noticed in the series?

Some I’ve noticed…

Dimension Doom: at the beginning, Cheetara sits up in bed when Wiz-Ra appears in her mirror. When he disappears, you can see Cheetara’s reflection and she’s lying back in bed with her eyes closed, but when we go back to look at Cheetara, she’s still sitting up, looking towards the mirror.

Dimension Doom: when Wiz-Ra releases the ThunderCats who were under Mumm-Ra’s spell, the now released ThunderCats all start muttering and you hear Snarf say, “I must have been asleep.” But Snarf was never under the spell, he had just grabbed Wiz-Ra’s helmet and thrown it back to him.

Runaways: at the beginning of the final scene, we zoom into the cave where the Thunderkittens are talking to their new friend. Wilykit is talking, but it’s Wilykat’s mouth that is moving.

Safari Joe: You can see Tygra’s cage to the left of Cheetara’s when she argues with Safari Joe, but when Panthro is captured, his cage is in front of Cheetara’s and Tygra’s, but Tygar’s is to the right of Cheetara’s.

Here’s one listed on Internet Movie Database’s website from “Trouble With Time”

Plot holes: Due to a syndication-order error, Lion-O has never been taught how to drive the tank and is completely inexperienced with it, but in “Puum-Ra”, two episodes earlier, he was said by the others to have driven it well.

The Trouble with Thunderkittens - There is a scene at night in Castle Plundarr where Lion-O is facing off with the Mutants. The scene cuts to Lion-O and it is suddenly an outdoor, daylight scene in the forest, then the scene cuts out to where they are, in the castle at night.

Mumm-Rana - 2 here:

a) Mumm-Rana sends Lion-O, Tygra and Snarf to exile, but they appered in a place in Third Earth close to Castle PlunDarr, wondering how they would make to get back to Cats Lair (?), and how would they defeat the Mutants (as if they haven’t done it before).

b) Many episodes later, in “The Last Day”, Mumm-Ra sent Cheetara, Tygra, Panthro and the kittens to exile, and that was a different place, kind of another dimension.

I always assumed that was WilyKit saying “I must have been asleep”.

To which one are you referring?

I was wondering the same lol

Sorry, the Dimension Doom one.

Oh. It definitely sounded like Snarf to me.

Here’s another continuity goof from IMDB’s site from “All That Glitters”.

In “The Tower of Traps” the Thundercats had seen and been able to identify gold in a melted form, but here they knew nothing about it.

Here’s one I just found.

In ThunderCats Ho! part 1, in the scene toward the beginning where we see Lynx-O, Bengali, and Pumyra rescued by two Berbils, Ro-Bear-Burt has blue fur and a deeper voice and Ro-Bear-Bob has yellow fur and a higher voice. When they lower the ladder, Burt stays sitting down but Bob gets up. When the Thunderians get on board, we see this, but when the cut to a close-up of the Berbil standing, they’re in the wrong places - Burt is standing up but when he talks, it’s Bob’s voice, we then cut to a planet view and when we come back, they’re in their right spots with their right voices.

Yep I noticed that when I picked my quote for the game lol!

I guess it’s possible they just knew gold the colour but not the metal.

I honestly believe that “Thundercubs:” was a bit misleading for this story arc. It was about the Treasures of Thundera more than anything else.

I agree with this; always felt/thought that way,.

In the episode “The Astral Prison” when Lion-O falls into the Pit of the Netherwitch the ThunderCat logo on his belt has its black and red colours reversed.

There are some eps (can’t remember one precisely now) in which Tygra’s nose is skin-colored rather than orange, and not only on the sides, which could be understandable, but at the front as well.

In some other eps, like “Evil Harp of Charr-Nin”, he’s wearing compeltely closed boots that doesn’t show his toes and ankles.

Anyone else ever notice that sometimes Luna has two earrings and other times only has one? It seemed to change episode to episode…

In Frogman there is an entire scene in which Lion-O wears his clawshield on the wrong hand… And its not a mirrored or reversed cell; his ThunderCats emblem is correct..
