Gauging interest in Thundercats RPG.

This is a continuation of a project I started a year ago. Note, in addition to this I’m looking at installing a combat system also. Original post follows:

Hey everyone!

I just thought I’d pimp my online RPG that’s under development. The game is actually up and running but all that’s completed so far is the cats’ lair.

It’s a html and text console based RPG. You navigate through “rooms”, and in the rooms you can have all sorts of media - text, videos, music, sound etc. There are objects you can manipulate, and wandering creatures you can interact with (Snarf already follows you around from room to room and bothers you)

For those of you who have played a MUD, it is something like that, but more roleplay based. There will be stats, but combat is reserved for roleplay situations, and is consentual.

I’m looking for writers and artists to help populate room descriptions, and to draw images for areas I do not have any screen captures for.

Additionally, if you are interested in learning to help build in the system, let me know to, as I could use your assistance

If you’d be interested send me a private message.

The address is http://thirdearthrpg.servegame.org:7000 (just so you can see it’s up and running)

Thanks for your time!

Sounds interesting as there really hasnt been a good thundercats game (i would think it would have made for a good game for the nes) except for the amiga or is it the commodore or are they one in the same I forget

Hi Tygra!

Hey! as I said you on EOT, this RPG sounds very interesting to me. Keep on the good work and bring us that game soon. :wilykat:

P.S. And Stay away from that Silky Fruit… hee hee

You should just apply the d20 system

the d20 system has an open license so anyone can make a game using the standardised rules without copyright concerns. You just note the Wizards of The Coast open gaming license somewhere in your game and you are covered. BAM, instant game. Anyone who has played D & D or d20 Modern or any of the various RPG out there can easily pick up on it and it is highly customizable to your needs. Check out the following link for more info.
