Who here remembers this show? This is one where it rivals Batman: The Animated Series for the title of animation masterpiece. This one is one of my favorite animated shows and it definitely holds up.

I remember Gargoyles. It wasn’t your typical kid-friendly Disney cartoon; it had a dark side. It was so well written, its characters completely fleshed out. One of the crew members behind the cartoon, Dennis J. Woodyard, contributed to the final two seasons of the original ThunderCats. He did some artwork for the show as well as write two episodes – “Shadowmaster” and “Well of Doubt.”
I wish that Disney would change their minds and release the rest of this series on DVD. From what I understand, they didn’t release the second half of season 2 because the first half didn’t sell enough copies.
I blame the fans for that to be honest. They thought by boycotting the release, Disney would relent and release the rest of season. Except, that’s not how it works. You have to show them that a show like Gargoyles still sells. But there might be a chance, rumor has it Disney is considering releasing the rest of season two as evidenced by this email.

Go to this link and tell them nicely, in a very civilized manner that you’re interested in the rest of Gargoyles Season Two, this show might have another shot at popularity; you have to make this count guys.
I say Disney should release all 78 episodes of Gargoyles in a complete-series DVD set, featuring remastered picture and sound.
Loved this show since i was 12 and it was different than what disney offered and was quite mature and dark.
I know. It was similar to DC Comics’ “Batman.”
