The objective of this game is to find out who is the most favorited Thundercats character among the fans.
Rules:
The characters in each category are all given 7 points each. You as the player, have to take one point from a character that you like least and add it to the character that you like most.
Once a character’s score reaches zero, he/she is eliminated.
You cannot undo the last player’s move i.e. if I took 1 point from Cheetara and gave to Panthro, the next player cannot take that point from Panthro and give back to Cheetara. However the player after the second player can do so. (This is just to prevent the game getting stuck in a deadlock.)
However, if there are only TWO characters left in any category, then Rule No.3 above does not apply and the player is free to undo the previous player’s move if he/she wishes to do so.
I’ll go first to illustrate the rules.

Ok, now its your turn. Just copy and paste the above list, delete the previous players additions and subtractions, add/remove your 1 point from each category and change the total. Good luck!
Pumyra: 6 (-1)
This is hard, I want to give it to Pumyra, but the rules say I can’t. So, do I have to wait for another player to do his/her choice first? I don’t want to give it to Lynxo just because I can’t give it to Pumyra (btw, I’m only giving it to Pumyra because she’s the one I disliked the least, but I really never completely liked any of the 3 new TCs, so, can I just take one from Bengali -the one I disliked the most- and give it to no one?).
If you want to give the point to Pumyra, then you will have to take it from Lynx-O. Alternatively, if you want to take the point from Bengali, then you’ll have to give it to Lynx-O. You can’t just subtract a point and not give it to anyone. So looks like your stuck between a rock and a hard place!
You have to change the total once you have added/subtracted the one point and delete the previous players (+1) and (-1) so that only your additions and subtractions are visible and the new total. So your answers would be:
Hmm… sorry, I think that makes no sense. Why do you have to give a point to someone you don’t want to, and likewise, why do you have to take a point from someone you don’t want to?
You justify that by saying that, by doing so, the game would get stuck; but doing it the way the rules say you won’t really know the favorite and least favorite TC, because people can’t simply vote for his/her favoruite and least favorite.
A solution might be then to put all the TCs together, not separate them in 3 groups; otherwise there are too little options in each group for people to make a right choice. JMO
It’s a game, it doesn’t have to make sense. It’s for fun. That’s the whole point, making a tough decision. Do you really like one character or do you really hate another character? Are you willing to sacrifice one character or hope that the next player will save him? That’s what makes it exciting, otherwise it’s just a poll not a game. Just like in other games, Chess for example, you sometimes have to sacrifice one piece to save another. It makes no sense that in “Ludo” a player has to roll a six before his piece can move to the playing square but those are the rules.
Putting all the characters into one group would make the game too slow and boring. Trust me, my friend. Just follow the rules and play it as a game without analysing it too much and you’ll enjoy it.
I agree that the groupings are strange, not because they make it hard to choose, but because they’re arbitrary. No matter what happens, we’re going to wind up with one “Original”, one “New”, and one “Other”. Will we then pit them against each other? How is that fair? And why should the Kittens be paired up? I happen to prefer one to the other.
The groupings aren’t arbitrary. I gave quite a bit of thought to them. If I didn’t group the characters, the game would become too slow and in the end we would be left with just one character (which would most probably be one of the four main characters). By grouping it this way, some of the secondary characters also get a fair chance.
No. The winner in each category will remain the winner.

If I had split them up then someone else might complain why I didn’t put them together. :eek: I had thought about putting them seperately, but it just didn’'t feel right splitting them up.
Actually I was thinking it would be better that each player only play once. Then after many players have played, then perhaps the beginning players can have a second go.
Sorry for the lack of color. The iPad doesn’t like to play nice with changing colors apparently. But I forsee deadlocks, for example, Pumyra gets eliminated and there is no way to avoid the next action deciding who wins between Lynx-O and Bengali… Lynx-O may have the lead but if the next person takes from Lynx-O to give to Bengali, then no one will be able to counter and give Lynx-O any points again.
Good point about the deadlock. It hadn’t occured to me. I suppose that when there are only two characters left in a category then the player CAN undo the previous player’s move. I’ll add this point to the rules. Thanks for pointing it out
