Game: ThunderCat Trivia

Wily!!! You won’t beleive this: When I read’s BBoy’s previous question (the one regarding Lion-O attacking fellow TCs), and before I read you got the answer, I thought if I got the chance I’d post exactly this same question!

I guess that, as it’s said, great minds think alike

I guess we do! :biggrin

It happens.

I was waiting to see if adssse wanted to answer this one, but the answer is the Totem of Dera which is described as impossible to find at the end of the titular episode, but we see they retrieved either it or another artifact that looks identical to it in “The Last Day”. I always imagined that the Thunderscope helped them find it easier.

Correct! And you got the episode names as well! :thumbsup Your turn, sir.

Ok, I think this one might be tough.

Can you describe 3 different color changes that were (sometimes) made to 3 different main characters or their outfits? I am thinking of episodes post- “Thundercubs”. The color changes I am thinking of were not always permanent - these things may appear one color for one episode and then change back to their original color and back again for different episodes. These are not to be confused with simple animation errors.

I’m not sure if I got it right, but Wilykat’s outfit in some episodes was brown and orange and in others it was brown and yellow. Same with Wilykit, sometimes the pink part of her clothes was more lilac. And Tygra used to wear shades of grey in some episodes and shades of blue in others.

Was that what you were asking? :thumbsdown

Not exactly. The things you described above I never really noticed, and I imagine could be explained by taking into account different animation studios using slightly different shades. The things I am thinking are blatant (to me, anyhow) and occur post-“Thundercubs” in some episodes. For example, I am thinking of one thing that was always gold that was changed to brown in some episodes. I can offer more hints if people are stumped. Please let me know.

I’m not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, but in “Totem of Dera” and “Chain of Loyalty” the front part of Mumm-Ra’s helmet is brown instead of the usual gold.

Yes! That is one! There were actually several other episodes where for whatever reason, the “nose” part of Mumm-Ra’s headdress is colored the same brown as the rest of the headdress. In other episodes, it reverted to being colored gold again.

Can you name two other instances like that involving main characters?

Let’s see. How about Bengali? The belt straps that form an “X” on his torso are sometimes colored dark grey (like in “Helpless Laughter”) and sometimes colored very light grey/white (like in “Mossland Monster”)

That is another one! To my eye, Bengali’s straps were white from their introduction until “Thundercubs” where they turned gray. The last one I am thinking of is probably the most difficult to notice. Got any ideas?

A clue or two might be nice. Especially since you mentioned that it is the most difficult to notice.

Ok, two hints…

I am thinking of an alternate coloration on a “good guy”
It is NOT a part of clothing/costume.

Aha! Is it Lion-O’s black/red eyebrows?

Dang, you get extra credit! I wasn’t even thinking of that one, but you’re right. Although, was that a change that started happening after “Thundercubs”? I seem to think it was more throughout the show.

In any case, I am not sure what to do here. I feel like you’ve given a valid answer, but the original question was for three specific things and Wilycub listed two, and you gave one. Should I come up with a tie breaker?

Mathematically, Wilycub is in the lead already. Unless Zax gets the other one you were thinking of, then Wilycub is going to win. You might as well tell us the other one you were thinking of and give him the round.

Agreed!

I agree. Wilycub, its your turn!

And for those interested, the third answer I was looking for was the skin around Jaga’s mouth (between his mustache and beard). It is always light until some episodes following “Thundercubs” where it is dark instead. Oddly enough it was “Thundercubs” that showed us his younger, beardless face and made it clear that his whole face is light skinned with dark skin only around the edges.

Thank you! Ok, here’s a new one:

Which character on the show was voiced by three different voice actors? Name the voice actors as well as one episode in which he/she provided the voice of said character.
