A Warrior Maiden would be the obvious choice (if they’d known about the Trials, which they didn’t), but I prefer to think that it’s Cheetara, under some sort of sixth-sense-induced trance. After all, “Trial of Speed” literally cuts from the “I met her in a tree / She sounds a little out of her tree to me” dialogue exchange to Cheetara waking up in a tree!
Great answers, Zax! A few of them were the ones which I had in my head but many hadn’t occurred to me. :00
The other Terrators and Kymers sounds a bit iffy. Not sure if it should be counted as an answer. And Marvellous Merna was just made-up, though I would have really liked to see a female Mutant!
So these latest answers put you in a healthy lead, but there are still quite a few answers left so others still have a chance.
Well since there are no more new answers coming in, I feel that it is time that I announce the winner. And the winner is (drum roll)… Zax with the most correct answers! Well done sir!
There were still a lot of correct answers which no one mentioned such as:
Crew of the Thunderian Convoy Ships (Exodus)
Miggit Swarm Monster (Mandora - Evil Chaser)
Members/Incharge of the Interplanetary Control Force (Mandora - Evil Chaser)
Nemex’s Guards (The Astral Prison)
Big Cats, Aqua Cats, Sky Cats (Safari Joe)
Venutian Public Works (Sword in a Hole)
Ancient Over-earthmen (Trial of Cunning)
Maftet’s Worshippers (Trial of Evil)
There are still a few more from the later Seasons.
I think there’s only one you’ve missed out there, Wilycub, that’s “The Last Day” where he interacts with all the Thundercats that Mumm-Ra has already defeated.
If I remember correctly, Jaga didn’t actually interact with the TCs in “The Last Day”; I think he appeared but the TCs couldn’t see him (I think Jaga talk to Lion-O and mention them, but they wren’t aware of that). But I might be wrong.
“The Last Day” is up for debate, and admittedly it wasn’t on my list. But he does transport the ThunderCats out of Limbo, even if they don’t know it, so, sure, why not?
Terribly sorry. I had completely forgotten that it was my turn to post a question. Well, here goes:
This time I’m posting a series of Lion-O centric questions. Most of them have more than one answer. The more answers you give, the better as at the end of the day the winner will be decided by how many correct answers he/she gave in total. If someone has mentioned an answer before you, then you cannot repeat the same answer. You either have to give another answer or leave that question blank.
[B]Name the episode(s) in which Lion-O:
Is captured/tied up by good guys (name the captors as well)
Is captured/tied up by bad guys (name the captors as well)
The Berbils in “Berbils”, the terrator in “Good And Ugly”
Char-Nin in “The Evil Harp Of Char-Nin”, Luna in “Mumm-Ra Lives” (part V), the mutants in “Snarf Takes Up The Challenge” and “Divide And COnquer”, Spidera in “Queen Of 8 Legs”.
The Tower Of Traps, The Terror Of Hammerhand, Turmagar The Tuska, all the Annointment Trials (except strength I think), Thundercats Ho (part I)
Secret Of The Ice King, The Crystal Queen, Thundercats Ho (part II-III)
Mandora And The Pirates, Sword In A Hole
Trouble With Time, Spitting Image, Trapped, The Thunderscope
The Astral Prison, Shadowmaster
Snarf Takes Up The Challenge, The Crystal Queen, The Wild Workout
Snarf Takes Up The Challenge, Thundercats Ho (parts III-IV)
Correctamundo! Of course, at that point in the series, even Lion-O has only technically met Mumm-Ra once, in “The Unholy Alliance”. Yes, he encountered him in “Berbils”, but he didn’t know that swarm was Mumm-Ra. Actually, this is the main reason why I say that “Trouble With Time” and “Pumm-Ra” belong to the establishing story-arc, the opening 4-parter should really be an opening 6-parter. This episode ends with Mumm-Ra making his identity and intentions very formally known to the Thundercats.
