Off the top of my head, I’d guess it changes into circular rotating blades, possibly in “The Fireballs Of Plun-Darr”?
That’s it! When I was a kid, I wished my LJN SkyCutter had come with those blades. :evil:
You’re up, LiamABC.
WOW! I wasn’t even 100% certain on this one! It was an educated guess, but still a guess.
Anyhow, fortunately for me, I have a new trivia question ready:
In the interviews with the cast on the DVD, there is mention of a famous fluffed-line blooper concerning a technical feature. The irony of it is, Larry Kenney didn’t get it right when interviewed (although this wrong name made it into the new series as a “correct” feature)! What is the technical term that they talk about, what is it ACTUALLY called, and who mentions it in what episode?
Is it the samophlange? I think Pantrho mentions it, but i don’t know what it is.
If it’s not the samophlange, then I have no idea ![]()
Two details correct out of four, sir!
“Samoflange” is indeed what Larry Kenney says about the blooper, and samoflange made it into the new series. And it is Panthro who said it.
BUT samoflange is not what the actual thing, whatever it is, was called in the original series. Still waiting for “what was actually said”, and “which episode”.
I believe that the episode was “The Shifter” and Panthro (in Snarf’s body) says, “And keep your foot off the blasted somoflange!”![]()
Spot on!
This means we have a tie. Wilycub and Tygra_Rules each have two details correct. To break this tie, can either of you say what the somoflange is? Obviously we don’t know precisely what, but there is one little thing you can say about it. The first one to tell me that gets the round.
I have no idea what that “blasted” thing is! LOL!
But I’m guessing that it is one of the foot pedals of the tank? Maybe the accelerator or something like that?
It’s something to do with the Thundertank, and yes, controlled by a foot, that is about as much as we can say.
Anyway, Wilycub, you’ve won the tie-break, so it’s your turn!
Thanks Liam!
Ok here’s a question I had in my mind for a while. Don’t know if it will prove to be difficult or easy. ![]()
In Episode “A”, an evil character “B” wears the disguise of a secondary character “C”. In Episode “D”, a good character “E” wears the same disguise of character “C”. Identify A, B, C, D, and E.
I was looking in Urban dictionary for what a samophlange is when Wilycub bit me lol
Anyway, just as fun fact (don’t know it it’s true or not) it says a samoflange must be an echo generator, as “flange” means echo…
Anyway, about Wilycub question, I can think of:
a) Mumm-Ra disguising himself as a berbil in “The Mumm-Ra Berbil”, and
b) Mumm-Ra disguising himself as Dr. Dometome in “Fond Memories”.
But I can’t think of a TC disguising as a Berbil or Dr. Dometome, unless it was Snarf…
Thanks for sharing that bit of info about the “samoflange”, Tygra_Rules. I guess only Panthro can tell us for sure what it is! ![]()
Actually, when I formulated the question, I had a specific answer in mind and I was pretty sure that it was the only answer. But after reading your reply, I now feel that there are at least two instances which satisfy this question. So there should be two answers each for A, B, C, D, and E. And you are halfway on the right track as one of the two answers that you have given (a and b) is the first half of one of the two answers to the Trivia question!
Here’s my guess…
In the ‘Thundercutter’, the Ninja wears the disguise of a Tabbut and in
‘Mummrana’ Lion-o disguises himself as a Tabbut.
OK then, so it must be;
A = Mumm-Ra Berbil
B = Mumm-Ra
C = Unidentified Berbil
D = ?
E = ?
I know it’s the berbil because Dr. Dometome only appears in the epinome epsiode, then in “Fond Memories” and has a small cameo in Lion-O’s coronation ceremony.
Can’t think about of the other answers you had in mind
I know Lion-O disguised himself as one of those pig-like creatures (can’t remember the name) in “Mumm-Rana”, but not sure if an evil character disguised once as them.
You are correct, “Mongor”!
That’s the answer I had in mind when I first formed the question.
You are on the right track “Tygra_Rules”. All you have to remember is the good character who also disguises himself as a Berbil and the name of the episode. I’ll give you a hint: The scene is a very brief one and it is in a Season 2 episode. ![]()
Nah, I give up. Mongor’s up!
Which turns out to be frustrating as I have what I think is a great question since the samophlange one, and both times I’ve missed the answer for this short. But I’ma patient persons… as we say here: “con paciencia y saliva el elefante tragó la hormiga” (something like “with patience and saliva the elephant got to swallow the ant” :D)
So shoot, Mongor. They say the third time is the winner lol
Wilycub, if you can tell us the season 2 ep where a good guys disguises as a Berbil, I’ll be very grateful!
Tygra_Rules,
If you have a question, go for it. I don’t have any in mind.
Really? Ok, then thank you Mongor!
From the original TCs, the kittens, Tygra and Cheetara were absent from some eps. Of course, during the first season, the “new TCs” were absent, and they were not present in many season 2 eps either.
Pantrho is the only “old TC” to show up in every episode (unless it was a Lion-O-only ep, or one of those dedicated to the new TCs where none of teh old ones appear, but whenever an old TC appears, Panthro is there, either alone or with some other TC).
There is one episode though which shows all of the TCs, both original and new, even Jaga, and Pantrho does not appear.
Is it “Together Wes Stand”? This is one of my favorite episodes from season 2.
Wow Mongor! That was fast! And i thought it was a tough one!
I like it too because I was surprised that they decided to have Tygra instead of Panthro (or any other for the matter, as Tygra was usually the original TC absent) on screen ![]()
So things are back to normal, as if nothing happened, I never asked my question, and it’s your turn (I think you knew you wouldn’t miss it for too long and thus gave me the chance… confess! lol)
