Game: ThunderCat Trivia

Man! this is really a good one. I’ve been thinking of it all Sunday and nada.

I know it’s not Jackalman’s Rebellion…

LOL! Same here! I’ve been racking my brain too trying to figure this one out. I know there are many episodes in which only Slithe appeared but only Jackalman? Just can’t seem to figure out which one! Nice one, Liam!

Thank-you. There is definitely at least one episode that I can name. There may or may not be more, but there is definitely this one.

I think I may have gotten the answer. Is it “The Rock Giant”? There is a scene of Jackalman in the forest in the Skycutter and he chases the Thunderkittens but they knock him off it and pilot it themselves. I don’t recall any other Mutant appearing in that episode.

We have a winner! Congratulations Wilycub, “The Rock Giant” is indeed the answer.

I found it funny the way everyone instantly thought of “Jackalman’s Rebellion” when I first posed the question, and then instantly realised that of course it isn’t that. Obviously Jackalman is the focus of that episode, but of course the other mutants are very much present (and really, Slithe and Lion-O should have made an uneasy alliance in this episode, but I digress).

Also related to that episode, I’ve said before that the incident in “The Rock Giant” where the kittens overpower Jackalman might well be one a factor that convinces him to go it alone, as at some point, the other mutants will have found him trussed up like that, and they will have laughed at him, a lot, and he will have been very unhappy at this, and it could have been the straw that broke the camel’s (or in this case the jackal’s) back.

Anyway, continuity musings aside, Wilycub, you’re up again!

Thanks Liam!

Even after days of racking my brain, I can’t seem to think up any good trivia question:(. So I would request that maybe Liam or anyone else please take my turn and post a question. Thanks.

OK, I do happen to have another one up my sleeve, in much the same vein as the last.

As far as I can remember, there is only one episode in which Slithe is the only mutant NOT to appear. What is it?

Ah ha! I finally figured it out. For some reason I assumed it would be Season 1, and so I was scouring the episode list, completely stumped. But it’s in Season 2! “Totem of Dera”.

Well done Zax! You’ve got it right!

The reason you assumed it would be season 1 is simple - I have said many times on here that I am not that well up on season 2, as to the best of my knowledge it was never shown here in England.

I did borrow my friend’s season 2 box set of course, and watched it through a couple of times - and concluded there was a good reason it wasn’t shown over here. It doesn’t have the same zing. First it introduced the Lunataks, then decided a whole planet re-formed just like that, and then ultimately relocated them to that planet . . . yuck.

BUT, when watching that box set, I did notice this interesting piece of trivia, and finally found a use for it here!

Anyway, conrgats again Zax, your turn!

Season 2 is so divisive! Some of my favorite episodes are in Season 2. But you’re right. There’s a feeling, a gravity, to the first half of Season 1 that fades away amidst Season 2’s campiness and character juggling.

I have a really good one, with a decisive, singular answer. But I forget what it is. It will come to me in the shower I’m sure—give me a day or two. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll send someone to help jog your memory then. His name’s Bates - Norman Bates

 I remember, I remember!

What is the name of the PlunDarrian surveillance program that tips the Mutants off to the contents of the fleeing Thunderian ships?

Sorry, couldn’t resist - you did say shower, after all!

What is the name of the PlunDarrian surveillance program that tips the Mutants off to the contents of the fleeing Thunderian ships?

Now that I can’t remember. I know I have the feature length version of Exodus somewhere, but I’m still putting things away in my new home (and still haven’t shifted everything down from the old one).

That’s a hard one, Zax!

Oh no! I didn’t realize that the scene in question isn’t in the broadcast version of “Exodus”. :duh: Though that explains why no one ever talks about this PlunDarrian surveillance program! The feature-length version is the version I grew up with, so I know it so well I often forget that most people only know the broadcast version. Anyway, if this is too hard, I can post a different one. I’ll give it a couple of days.

I knew instantly that it was from one of the “deleted scenes” that was on the feature-length version but not the individual episode, because a friend copied the feature-length version for me before I acquired the DVDs. I still have it somewhere . . .

Found it. “Spy-Star Transmission”.

That’s it, or maybe simply “Spy-Star”. It’s a creepy thought that the Mutants were monitoring Thundera in the lead-up to its destruction, plotting their attack. :sneaky: All those deleted bits add so much to the Mutants’ story.

Your turn, LiamABC

Agreed. Especially the bit where Slithe says his Reptilians can handle the boarding bit alone, and Monkian and Jackalman don’t trust that one bit!

Your turn, LiamABC

OK, I jotted one down before in readiness, so here it is:

Who is the only named Berbil not to have their own action figure?

Is it Ro-Bear-Bob?

Correct! I wasn’t expecting this to be answered so soon!

Actually, digressing for a moment and going back to Zax’s previous trivia question - when I saw the feature length version of Exodus, I always found it interesting how there was so much added to the first episode, and so much taken out of the others! Well, mainly one scene with the Mutants removed from the second, the entire Trollogs & Giantors sequence from the third, and just a single line from the fourth.

Anyhow, Adssse, your turn!

And here’s hoping someone else can get this one, I feel I’ve been monopolising this game of late!
