Game: ThunderCat Trivia

Mmmm… let me think.

I think “The Formula” is one, where the Lunatacks made some plants and insects grow bigger.

In “Divide and Conquer”, Tygra rescues Cheetara from a giant beehive and then flies a giant bee.

In “Garden of Delights” Tygra chases a giant worm.

In “Return of the Driller” the TCs get into a forest with giant insects. I remember a mantis and a beetle.

I think there’s one of those giant insects as well in "“Mechanical Plague”.

There’s another one in which a flying insect chases the twins in their boards (actutally, they both were in one board as the other one was destroyed by that same insect), but can’t remember the name of it (might be “Return of the Driller” as well, but I’m confused lol).

And I think the kittens also made a giant insect appear from one of their pellets once.

And, Spidera not only appears in “Queen of 8 Legs” but also in “Fond Memories” lol.

Berbils - Mumm-ra as giant grasshopper
Mechanical Plague - Mechanosect
Divide & Conquer - Giant Bees
All that Gliters - Gregory Gregian rides a giant grasshopper
Return to Thundera - Lion-O encounters a giant Scorpion on Thundera
Return of the Driller - Quite a few giant bugs in the forest fo the giant insects.
Garden of Delights - the worm that Tygra chases. It looks like a caterpiller to me so I will consider it as an insect.

There is an episode which I can’t quite remember clearly, in which in the end Lion-O rides a giant insect and then he lands and tells Snarf to thank the insect for his help.

I remembered that episode too, but wasn’t sure if the being Lion-o was riding was a giant insect or a giant bat.

I figured this would be a relatively easy one since Cheezey’s a member of the board and most people would be familiar with her work.

Zax you have all 3 parts correct.
Merged Post:

Good one Zax since they eat insects.

And the winner of Zax’s trivia question is… ???

I think we have covered most of them, but should wait for Zax. Let’s give him some time. If he hasn’t post by Wednesday, I’ll post one (unless you want to).

No problemo

Okay, okay, I’m here!

I’m going to give it to WilyCub. The giant bees also make an appearance in “Mumm-Ra Lives!” when Snarfer tricks them into attacking Alluro. Pretty wicked for a creature incapable of evil!

As for someone asking Snarf to thank an insect for its help, this seems vaguely familiar to me, too. I’m unable to check it, but could this be Tygra in Divide and Conquer, asking him to thank the bee?

YAY! I won! (Does a little victory dance) Thank you “Zax”. It was close. I was pretty sure that “Tygra-Rules” had won. I guess he took it easy on me since he is after all my Thunderian uncle.

Ok here is my question:
Name any three episodes (there could be more, but I can only recall three) which show Lion-O and Snarf playing a game. Any game.

Bonus Question: (coz I just can’t get it out of my head!)

Name the episode in which in the end Lion-O rides a giant insect and then he lands and tells Snarf to thank the insect for his help.

I can only think of two so far - “Pumm-Ra”, where Lion-O plays hoop-la on Snarf’s tail, and “Safari Joe” with the famous “kick the bucket” game.

Bonus Question: (coz I just can’t get it out of my head!)

Name the episode in which in the end Lion-O rides a giant insect and then he lands and tells Snarf to thank the insect for his help.

That would be “Divide And Conquer”, but it’s mainly Tygra and Cheetara who ride the giant bee, and I thought it was one of the kittens who told Snarf to thank her for her help. Lion-O rides a giant bug in “Berbils”, although that bug is really Mumm-Ra in disguise.

That would be “Divide And Conquer”, but it’s mainly Tygra and Cheetara who ride the giant bee, and I thought it was one of the kittens who told Snarf to thank her for her help.

Yes, THAT’S IT! Thank you “LiamABC”. Where were you all this time? “Zax”, “Tygra Rules” and myself have been racking our brains tryng to remember that episode. I guess I was wrong in thinking that it was Lion-O who rode the giant insect. So congrats on getting the CORRECT answer to an INCORRECT Bonus question! LOL!

As for your other answers, let’s wait for a few more answers from other members and then I’ll decide the winner.

I remember Lion-o and Snarf playing “kick the bucket” or something like that in “Safari Joe”.

They were also playfully swimming in “Tower of Traps” I think, where Lion-o pretended to drown to get Snarf into the water.

I remember Lion-O playing one where he throws the hoop on Snarf’s tail. I just don’t remember the episode.

I thought of that, but didn’t think swimming really counted as a game.

I think it’s pretty safe to say it’s Liam’s turn

Ok, I guess there are no more new answers coming in so I might as well declare the winner with the most correct answers. And the winner is “Liam ABC”!

Sorry, the swimming scene in “Tower of Traps” doesn’t count because they were not playing any game. Lion-O was swimming and Snarf was just sitting outside the pool.

So the three correect answers are:
1. “Pumm-ra” - playing Hoop-la
2. “Safari Joe” - playing Kick the Bucket
3. “Fireballs of Plun-Darr” - playing a board game (this was a tough one I admit).

Your turn Liam.

Wow, that third one WAS a toughie. OK, let’s think of something.

OK, got one:

We all know the Thundercats title sequence inside out, back to front, upside down and sideways, I am sure, BUT when episodes from the series were originally released on VHS, the title sequence was slightly different to the original broadcast version. How did they differ?

I haven’t watched the original DVDs (I admit it, my CDs are a pirate copy from the regular seires with the regular presentation…), so i think I’ll pass in this one.

I might add this question is similar to LO’s fanfic one, so Im’ not sure if it’s a valid question.

The only difference I can think of is the Closed Captioned logo coming up at the beginning, when the signal is coming down through the atmosphere. That was never on the VHS releases and always in the broadcast, at least in the late 80s and early 90s reruns in the US. I believe it’s also preserved somewhere on the DVDs, but I’m not sure which episode(s).

Just to clarify the question:

The original broadcast version of the title sequence was used on the DVDs, but the VHS releases (certainly in the UK, I don’t know about the US) had a very slight difference.

If everyone’s still in the dark by the end of the week, then I’ll tell you and post a new question (when I think of one).
