That always bugged me. In the first season I think it’s just “Mandora And The Pirates” and “Sword In A Hole” where this happens - both episodes by William Overgard, curiously enough. It happens a few more times in the later series, especially in “The Jade Dragon”, again by Overgard, where Hachiman just leaps on his steed and rides through space to New Thundera . . . seriously, how did Peter Lawrence let that through? Was there nothing better available?

Not to mention that Hachiman said in his first appearance that a samurai leads a “simple, basic life” and that he has “no use” for machines. Then in “The Jade Dragon” he has a robotic horse.
