I was afraid you were going to say that. I am stumped. Are you referring to how Lion-O and Cheetara have changed seats? If not, I think we need a hint.
Is it Lion-O swinging by the knuckle of the claw-shield?
Spot on! In the previous scene in the tank, Lion-O was in the front with Tygra, and said there was no time to waste. Next scene, he’s in the back and Cheetara’s in the front. Did they stop for something in between and it got cut from the script, or did the animators just goof? I don’t know. All I do know is, you got it right ButterflyBoy so it’s your turn!
There’s also the issue of Snarf who is absent when the tank emerges from the water but present when they arrive in Tuskania. ![]()
Beside them looking emciated,I n’t think of anything LOL
There are some continuity errors with forthcoming scenes, like the cages swapping place or the G in Tygra’s cage being flipped, but I’ sure you were not thinking on any of those.
Wait! I see it now!
Cheetara’s baton is right on her bracelet whereshw ususlly keeps it, but SJ was supposed to have taken it. Right?
Exactly. In fact the last time we saw her, she was lamenting “If ONLY I had my staff!”
The animators had the hardest time keeping that weapon off her arm when she wasn’t supposed to have it. You may recall I posted a similar error from “The Micrits” awhile ago.
Thinking about it, animators do have a difficult job in general keeping track of things like that. Visionaries had similar issues with the power staffs, the animators had to keep track of whether each staff was fully charged with magic or not during each episode…
I did recall that. Actually, that’s what made me look for that detail in the first place :cool
I completely forgot it was my turn at this. Please give me till Monday…
Sorry for the delay. Here’s the new one.
There is one plot inconsistency / error in “Malcar” in comparisson with previous episodes. What is it?
The best I can think of is that the way The Canyons of Youth work in “Malcar” is pretty different than we’d seen before.
Yes, that’s it!
In"ThunderCubs" and “Return of the ThunderCubs”, the Canyons of Youth have an immediate effect over Panthro, Tygra and Cheetara, turning them into cubs within seconds. In “Malcar” though, he gets younger and younger gradually.
Your turn, BB.
Also, Cheetara, Panthro and Tygra hang out in the canyon for a long while afterwards while talking to Lion-O, etc. and don’t seem to continually get younger the way Malcar does.
Yes, they got back to certain age and it stopped there. As if the canyons considered going back to 4 or 5 years old was enough LOL (a difference with “Time Switch”).
Time Switch wasn’t the Canyons of Youth though, that was an accident with a suspension capsule.
Yeah, I know. I was just pointing out how that “accident” seemed way much more lethal than the Canyons. In “Time Switch”, it was implied that Lion-O would go back in time to a fetus status and then… gone. Creepy.
Plus with the whole Geyser Of Life thing, was the Cave Of Time a big deal? It’s always bugged me in Thundercubs when they got back to Third Earth, they had three young Thundercats, especially a young Cheetara, who could have zipped in and out of the Cave Of Time to find the Thundrillium, and extract a little bit at a time, probably eventually returning to her normal age by the time she’d finished. And if she did overshoot the mark a little, just pop in the geyser and back running in and out of the cave again . . .
I always thought of that mysef! Why didn’t Cheetara get into the cave to get the Thundranium? Maybe she would have to dig and/or chisel and that’d have taken even her too long?
