Sorry for the shout in the subject header, but just thought this was worth trying to attract the attention of MannyF and those in charge of this site’s FTP…
Earlier today I tried to log onto this site via FTP, and was unsuccessful - it states that the FTP connection is down or some similar message. I’ve tried everything I can think of and can’t make it work.
I wondered if it was a problem at my end and so I asked Kyle to test it out for me, as his set-up is about as far removed from mine as you can get (different username, different FTP software, different operating system!), and it doesn’t work for him either!
I’ve got some new content for the site that I’m in the process of preparing, so if MannyF and/or Mark could look into this for me as a matter of urgency that would be great and very much appreciated. Many thanks!
Cool, thanks for that info, Neil. I know MannyF was talking about changing hosts or something, so wondering whether this is something to do with that? However, I didn’t notice any offline time for the site, which I would have thought would have happened had it been moved to a new host?
I’ve sent MannyF and Mark a PM about this, hoping that they’ll respond soon. Ironic that this should happen when I’m finally able to line up some new material for the site for the first time this year!
Just checked it and it works - trying it via one of the ways I was doing it before! That’s weird…
Thanks for looking into this, Manny, really appreciated - I’ll monitor it over the next couple of days and report back to you if there are any other problems - hope that’s OK.
