Lets say a Feliner prototype appeared on ebay in the next few weeks. What would you do? How much would you be willing to dish out for it (provided it was legit!)
I remember the only time one hit ebay… ah, to be older and have a bit of money! :duh:
Dont have that kind of money but if I did, and that is money that I could easily dispose of without any worries? Maybe 3-4 grand
if I had any kind of huge amount of disposable income I would go 5 grand. But I dont so im sol i guess. Of course what are the odds of one coming up again anyway.
For me to even attempt to put a respectable bid in, I’d have to take out some kind of loan. I’d never ever even attempt to get into any kind of debt for an hobby so I’d never (in reality actually bid)
Now if I had a huge disposable income it would depend on what that income was. If money was no object, of course I’d keep bidding until I won the auction.
…it sure would be a great piece to own, and if i had a room dedicated to my collections, id probably bid up to 4 grand.
the problem i have is 90% of my collections are in my attic as i dare not display with my children around playing wrestling and football. and id hate to buy something like that and not display it.
what…the…HELL!!! does the feliner really go for $3000-5000!!!
The Feliner was never produced and only prototypes (rumoured to be about 3 in total) only exist.
One of them was sold on Ebay about 5 or 6 years ago and it sold for something like $4000 as far as I can remember.
It is an extremely rare piece so it could obviously fetch a fair bit!
Does anyone know the winner of the Feliner? Does anyone know the original seller?
To me it is unknown who the winner or seller was, I didnt even see the auction when it came up years ago. However blackicats and I did some research and found out what couldve been the auction number. Unfortunately the auction was never archived online and so we never could retrieve that auction. Im sure there is someone out there who saved that auction file but so far nobody has turned up
I remember that Feliner auction.. I lost. I was the 2nd highest bidder at approx. $2500. Remember, that’s $2500 a few years ago, before all the renewal hype. These days… easy 3000-4000. I know I’d be good for at least 3 grand.

I do wish i had bid on that feliner on e bay, I was too concerned about lookng for other stuff i needed to complete my collection.
…I do know who has one of the 4 protos tho. Pm me if you know, dont want them to get harassed, the feliner is not for sale, ive tried!!.:duh:

I didnt know he owned it, I always thought those picfs were submitted by somebody else. Did he state that he actually owns it?
He doesn’t own it. The owner submitted images to Alex as far as I’m aware.
I’m not sure he own it, but the pictures are taken with the same background from all the pictures on his website. Maybe we can send him an email asking about that :liono :liono
yeah I wasnt aware that he owned it. I pmed starcade about the owner of the one he knows of.
mmm think I made a mistake in my previous post as I thought someone had linked to the toy archive site owned by Alex Bickmore.
However I’m pretty sure (like a few others said) that guy doesn’t actually own the Feliner in the pictures either. I just wish one of the owners would contact us as we’d love to host images of it in our toy section for sure!
