I know I have a thread up asking you for your fave Thundercat and mutant but lets now do a poll. Out of the four who is your favourite mutant and in a reply put the four in order.
1)Jackalman (really comes into his own in eps like The Mountain and Jackalman’s Rebellion).
2) Vultureman (the Panthro/Man-at-Arms of the gang, the inventor, brains and has an awesome voice)
3)Monkian (has some good confrontations with Panthro although not to bright)
4SSSSlithe…yessssss (…)
im really torn between vultureman and jackalman, both were very entertianing when it came to being the bumbling idiots that the mutants were. i might just go ahead and give vultureman the nod here tho.

I believe the most special is Vultureman, although Ratar-o is the strongest and most fearsome of the mutant armies, wielding the Rat´s Eye and piloting the powerful war machine Ratstar he is undermined by his overconfidence resulting in the destruction of his own battle-ship. Combining Vultureman´s skills with both machines and science and Ratar-o´s strategic mind they were some of Thundercats deadliest enemies. Slithe´s best feature was the ability to always drive the rest of the mutants to his way of thinking and so being self-proclaimed the cunning leader among them. Also it was very interesting seeing him stand in front of Mumma-ra contemplating their new assault and despite the fact that he utterly despised the mighty wizard for his diabolical power, his deceptive speeche gave away a pretentious feeling of acceptance whithout a question serving Mumm-ra´s bidding. The eavesdropping-expert Monkian and the timid, coward Jackalman didn´t have any particular attributes that would make them dangerous or likeable to watch if they were to act on their own. I enjoyed a lot the smart episodes ´SuperPower potion´& ´The shifter´were Vultureman´s inquisitiveness and inventiveness brings much trouble on Thundercats. I thing he can be viewd as an intelligent foe who can work for his own benefits successfuly and that´s why he often striked deals with Mumm-ra.
Vultureman is the one that stands out. The Writers obviously loved him, and they really made a memorable character out of him. Even when The Mutants were phased out towards the end of the series, they kept finding something to do with Vultureman and always wrote some great dialogue for him. He was the most competent of the regular Mutants, and the most intelligent, but he was also the funniest, so he was just an enjoyable character all around.
I always really liked Slithe too, especially early on when he was a really sneaky & slimy villain. He actually dared to insult Mumm-Ra a couple of times, and a few times he manipulated him. It was amazing to see how much Slithe had changed by the end of the series where he was basically a buffoon.
Like Slithe, Jackalman’s best moments came in Season 1 where he was hysterical, but also had great standout moments where his greed & lust for power overrided his cowardice.
Monkian is probably my least favorite of the bunch, but he had his moments. And like all The Mutants, he had a great voice.
