Favorite sidekick?

Hi all, finally came up with a good question:

Between He-Man’s BattleCat/Cringer and Bravestarr’s 30/30, who was the better sidekick?

If you’ve never seen Bravestarr, then feel free to chime in on your own favorite sidekick from any 80’s cartoon. I hope enough of you saw Bravestarr to get a few responses, but both were talking animal modes of conveyance which fought along side the hero in battle with awesome transformations, 30/30 was a half mechanized horse…think of Teen Titan’s Cyborg, but a cigar smoking redneck horse.

My money’s on 30/30. His attitude was much more rough and willing and he just seemed to be a bigger threat, kinda like how in X-Men, most prefer the bad boy Wolverine(30/30) to the more justice minded Cyclops(Battlecat). Plus I always thought the Bravestarr transformation was flashier with the lightning wrapping around 30/30, him rising up and brandishing his trademark shotgun, (which he also named, but at the moment, his shotgun’s name escapes me,) vs Battlecat’s armor appearing, him growing more muscular, and roaring.

Well that’s my vote, what do you think?

P.S. Does anyone know who did Bravestarr? Was it a Rankin/Bass production? Was it done in Japan like Thundercats, then sent over here?
Thanks,
-TO

Even though I like MOTU more, I’d have to say 30/30 just because Cringer was a sissy, not much of a comical relief, and all Battle Cat ever did was roar (well, for the most part).
