I made an observation from the teasers.
Tygra has black stripes on his face in the shape of checkmarks. Lion-O also has checkmark stripes identical to Tygra’s on his face, though his are tan colored.
The kittens also have this color thing going onto their faces though theirs look more like swooshes.
Just thought it interesting.
Panthro has the same cheek marks. I think its common to most Thunderians. a lot of the “extras” had them too.
I’ll have to watch the pilot again to be sure.

I agree. I wouldnt consider it the same as the others. and I don’t know if I would say is a pretty common thing since Claudius, Grune, Jaga, Cheetara Lynxo dont have it and in the premier only 1 from the gang had cheek marks and it was different, pointing downwards, and even when they’re celebrating Grune’s return a lot of the poeple dancing, celebrating didnt had a mark.
common doesn’t mean everyone has it. it just means a lot of people have it. i mean heck just look at the soldiers in the preview for this week’s episode.
I wasn’t questioning the word common, I was questioning the word same. It does seem to be common. Cheetara doesn’t have them though. Have we seen any other Thunderian with eye markings like Cheetara? Maybe it really is only makeup and not natural for her… Hmm…
I noticed a few with the whole top half of their face covered, and at least one guy in the audience (at the tree race) whos marks was around his eyes (though unlike Cheetara they covered his forehead too).
also a couple who’s faces were completely one color (like Grune)
The closest I’ve seen is from Lynxo but his marks are a little smaller
