hmmm those lines would seem to be a mystery, they arn’t present of my copy of Exodus either. All I get when the mutants start attacking is Tygra saying “Their fighting as allies!”
Where exactly in Exodus does Wilycat and Jaga have that conversation? before or after the mutant attack?

Ok then, yeah, that scene is missing from my version as well. The ship markings get identified and then Tygra just says, “Their allies!” and then it cuts over to the mutants attacking.

Thank you, chris. I’ve owned the one-hour original pilot episode on VHS for some years, so I’ve seen the missing intro and scenes a number of times. I just wish that Warners Brothers had included it in the DVDs as a Special Feature. It would have made everybody’s day.

I definitely agree - although, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that WB’s acquisition of the series actually didn’t include the ThunderCats pilot, just the collection of 130 stand-alone episodes, and therefore WB wouldn’t actually own the footage to include it! 
The reason why I say this is because something similar has happened with BCI Eclipse’s releases of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on DVD - there were two direct-to-video specials produced for that series, and the company that own the rights to the series, Entertainment Rights, actually don’t have copies of those specials to release even if they wanted to!

Ahh Chris man, you are a saint. It was enough fretting that I hadn’t seen the pilot whole, but to also hear the cuts from the cuts… I can die now, knowing I have seen all there is to see of the Thundercats.
I agree completely! WB should have had put some LJN, and Tyco toy commercials with the boxed sets. They also could have tossed in the promotional things they did with Bubbalicious bubble gum, Bonkers candy and Nabisco shredded wheat instead of some of the other extras they tossed in too.
I like the extras on the discs but I haven’t even seen some of the LJN toy commercials before! You can see some on You Tube but I’d like something I can toss into a DVD player and geek out to.

To be honest, I highly doubt WB own the rights to any of that material, I’d be amazed if they did - given that they were not the original owners of ThunderCats but merely purchased the series, I’d be surprised if they got anything extra included with that - ditto, in the same way that I’d be surprised if they actually owned the ThunderCats pilot those cut scenes come from.
I definitely think that WB could have done better with the special features on their ThunderCats sets, but unfortunately I do know that, for copyright reasons, they’re not allowed to include just anything they like on them without permission and/or royalties…
