I noticed that too. The “Hulk” was the first solo movie of the character starring Eric Bana. The second one “The Incredible Hulk” was the one with Ed Norton. Officially I don’t think either of those two movies are considered part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), despite the second movie sharing some continuity with “The Avengers”.

The second Hulk movie ‘‘The Incredible Hulk’’ does have the post credit scene so it is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the Captain America movie, the outfit he wears when entertaining the troops/public appearance is the same as fist first comic appearance outfit.

I didn’t know that. I checked and you are right. It is indeed part of MCU. :thumbsup But somehow it just feels rather disconnected from the whole MCU. Apart from William Hurt in “Captain America Civil War”, I don’t recall any other actors from TIH appearing in the other MCU movies.

Nor can I. It really is over looked mostly because Iron Man came out at the same time and was critically and financially better received and with Norton not reprising the Bruce Banner role for Avengers.

I think that just may be it. Not only didn’t the movie achieve great success, but the change of actors also affects how we perceive the continuity. Personally I prefer Ruffalo over Norton or Bana.

The deleted openening is referenced in The Avengers, when Bruce says he put a gun in his mouth and the other guy spat out a bullet. The fight with Abomination that takes place in Harlem is mentioned in Luke Cage also.

Ruffalo is definitely the best. It would be interesting to see him in a stand alone movie. Although the one problem Hulk has compared to all the others is that he is pretty big shoes to fill as any live action Hulk will always be compared to the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferringo TV series.

Ruffalo is definitely the best. It would be interesting to see him in a stand alone movie. Although the one problem Hulk has compared to all the others is that he is pretty big shoes to fill as any live action Hulk will always be compared to the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferringo TV series.

The 1970s TV series is my absolute favorite! :thumbsup Which is why I like Ruffalo as he is the closest in performance to the late Bixby. I personally feel that Marvel didn’t handle the Hulk properly. They made the same mistake with the character that DC are doing with their characters, trying to cram too much into one movie. The first Hulk movie (or any superhero origin movie), should be simple and to the point. Don’t try to put too much in it, whether it’s CGI or villains.

The TV Series pilot introduced the Hulk pretty much perfectly. The story was simple and about Banner. There weren’t any weird or “over-the-top” elements in it. A viewer could very easily identify with Banner’s character, his motivations. That is one of the main reasons why the first “Iron Man” movie also worked. If it had Warm Machine and the Mandarin, and Killian and Extremis in it, it would have been too much. The golden rule for origin movies? KISS (Keep It Simple Snyder!)

Apparently it’s the reason why Norton had a big falling out over the movie. Lots of it was cut out and shortened, and he was unhappy about it.

Luke Cage is very good. Not as good as Daredevil for me, but still a great show, definitely worth a watch.

Yes, I have heard that Norton has a tendency to get quite “involved” with his movies. That’s something Marvel probably don’t like.

Luke Cage is very good. Not as good as Daredevil for me, but still a great show, definitely worth a watch.

There are so many shows that I want to watch, just can’t seem to make the time. So far I’ve only been able to watch most of “Agents of SHIELD” and “Agent Carter”. Enjoyed both tremendously!

I keep meaning to watch Agents Carts and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
If what I have heard of Ragnarok, the comic, is true then Chris Hemsworth’s Thor could be having a break from the movies for a while. But it’s Disney so like Civil War they probably won’t copy the comic ending too much.

I guess the opening scene with Norton putting a gun in his mouth might have been too much, but Ruffalo is definitely alluding to the scene in Avengers. You can’t see it at such low res, but at the end when the ice breaks, there are a few frames of Captain America in there. This is obviously before they wrote him being in the ice within the ship they found him in.

Agents of Shield is a mixed bag of quality, there have been some good episodes though and I’m liking this season so far. I thought the first season of Agent Carter was really great. I didn’t care for the second season at all though. They should have focused on the creation of SHEILD instead of where they went with it.

I agree. There were some bad episodes. And also the series doesn’t really take off until after the first couple of episodes, which makes the pilot kinda boring. Another thing that always bugged me about the show was it focused too much on Daisy. It’s like the whole world revolved around her. Many of the other interesting characters were sidelined so that the spotlight can be firmly on her.
